A number of hotly-contested races were held Tuesday on primary day, including the much anticipated showdown between Rep. Charles Rangel and his opponent, state Sen. Adriano Espaillat.

Rangel declared victory over his opponent Tuesday night. With 54 percent of the vote counted, Rangel was up 52-31 in the newly-formed 13th Congressional District.

All the media fuss about that race was pure BS. Chuck will be in that seat until he croaks.  Just like San Fran Nan.

It amazes me that he got re-elected. Especially after what he did.

Why?  Like Edwin Edwards (not Huey Long) said, the ony way he can lose is if he was found in bed with a dead girl or a live boy.

And in this day and age, even the live boy would be okay with the constituents (just ask Barney Frank.)

The alleged people in Charlie Rangel's district care more about their welfare checks and gubmint handouts than to worry about li'l ol Charlie and his own unethical, immoral, and illegal behavior.

Hell, everybody does it. Why not Charlie too?
