WOW that much for 6-8 hours of wear ??????? This is not like a wedding gown for a hopefully once in a life time expense.

most of the time, vesta, the designer just lets them wear it. They get more money just having their outfit on the body and everyone asking who made that dress!???

They don't buy all those diamonds you see them wear either with the dresses.

Yep, what Gina said. It's a walking ad for the designer to have a celebrity wear their stuff. Many donate the dress(and jewelry) for the night in the interest of getting a return on that walking ad.
