Tinfoil time?

This whole Huckabee comment got me thinking...

The scenario is shortly before the general election, Obama is assassinated. This results in riots and civil unrest similar to that which followed MLK. The administration uses this to invoke martial law and party on.

How far out to lunch am I?

I knew I should have purchased stock in the Reynolds Company!  :tinfoil2: :tinfoil2:

5. I don't think it's possible for some random crazy biggot to get close enough to shoot him.

If anyone does, I suspect it will be a CIA patsy.

There's no chance in hell I see that happening. It's just another Dummie fantasy that will never take place. They really should come up with new and more interesting delusions.

In spite of the stupidity of their scenario, it does raise an interesting question about what would happen if either party's candidate died after nomination but before the general election, a circumstance which I do not believe has ever come to pass in our history.  Without actually looking up anything on it, I would suppose the election proceeds and the VP would be sworn in as VP, then immediately after as President, on Inauguration Day if the decedent's party won (And Americans seem oddly fond of electing a dead guy out of sympathy, even if he was sucking hind tit when campaigning in the flesh, judging by some gubernatorial and Senate races over the past few election cycles), and then after that point the former-VP/now-President would go through the process to select a new VP in the same manner Nixon did with Agnew when Agnew had to resign.

If Obama has any need to worry about someone pointing a gun at him...it would more likely be from the Muslims.

See as far as they are concerned...he was born to a Muslim father...mom's religion is of no consequence...and in the eyes of the Muslim faith...Obama converting to Christianity is an aposty.

They so lack imagination that they must resort to recycling conspiracy theories. Sad. I would expect more from the whine and bouncy crowd.

You are correct.  But, they also might see his election as a weakening of US resolve against hard-core Islamist terrorists, and step up their terrorist attacks on the US.

I wonder if Keith Ellison would even have the guts to step forward and condemn another attack if (God forbid) it actually happens?

Hey, that's my err, stolen line!

http://itsatrap.net/

That said I hope and pray for long and healthy lives for all the contenders and hopefuls of every party. Or, in the case of McCain, Ted Kennedy etc, longer and healthier lives. Long enough in each and every one of the above cases, that they can live to see their corny socialistic ideas go down in flames for good and watch America prosper greatly w/o them.

I have heard speculation that the Clintons would never allow Obama to beat them.  They'll have him killed and frame the Bush administration?   :o

Or whatever...  :lmao:

i'm not so sure its a fantasy... i think Hilary & Bill would do just about anything, including knock off their rival, to clinch the nomination. but its got to happen soon before she's done and gone.

if she's out of the race and he is killed, then she doesnt automatically get the nomination, does she?

the Dems would be majorly screwed, but i could see someone close to Hilary ordering a hit on Obama..

let me state though, i sure hope it doesnt happen. the last thing this country needs is another race war brought on by politics..
