Title: GPS tracking a thief
Post by: Gina on June 20, 2012, 06:29:52 PM
Ok..........yall know that sob is stealing stuff from my mom's

I want to know about gps. My plan is putting something out for bait and having the thief take it and I can then track and call police to the destination.  How much are those things, what would I call them, and where can I get something like that?  Cheap is what I am looking for

GPS trackers start at $150.  I saw one for less than that, but people were complaining about a short battery life (2 hours).

This anti crime tool should be used on the work lunch bandit. I still want to know who it was. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a ring, or a cartel.

Nanny Cam, not that expensive and easy to install and hide.

My Mom has some what the same problem, 3 homes in her area have been broken into.     Mom is 90 years old and has a whilley whas when this happens within eye sight of her home.

8 years ago we bought her one to install to film people coming to her home.  She has a outside porch to go into to answer the door, winter I did not want her to go out blind to answer the door bell.   I told her to get my son to hook it up for her but she poo=pooed the idea and put it in the attic.

A few years ago I came across it and with Moms permission brought it home, no sense leaving it to rot un used.

A few days ago she called tippie toeing about the camera and wanting to know if we are using it.

I believe that buying decals that are stuck on windows and doors that have a Warning protected by ABC alarm system may be all she needs.

Anyway we are going over to scope out the house with the mentality of if I were a thieft how would I get in.   That and empty video cameras old and broken bought for $10.00 at a pawn store placed outside the house may be a deturent to the creeps that look for an easy mark.

Inside is another thing, new tecnology since we bought the Nanny Cam.   For less then $150.00 one can watch visitors or even family members all on tape in 2 or 3 rooms.

One has to place themselves in the shoes of the punks and really check out using their mind thought as to why or if there is any breach in the fort so to say.

Well I would have to have a smart phone and that app is horrible according to ratings.

I can't believe they don't make something small and disposable
