Self importance
here is one that we are living through right now.
And it is funny, and speaks to some organization's self importance.
We are literally jumping through a few hoops to cover Comic Con international, and it is still in the air. Getting press credentials from Comic Con is like pulling teeth.
My city is going to host a trade negotiations the week before. I just got the credentials, no fuss, no muss, from the Department of State... think about that one. To me it does speak to some openness.
Now the afternoon and a couple days will be spent doing background for that trade negotiation. I know the broad outlines of it, as in broad... I have been following it in foreign press on and off for a couple years... but not enough to be comfortable asking questions. But you tell me, is there a problem with this picture?

Only one reply, but this could get interesting.

1. One is private and the other is governmental.
The government owes the press access (or at least they should when able).
Comic con doesn't owe anything to anyone except who they think will draw water to their own mill. Not to mention CC is a highly sought after ticket and sold out.
Dammit, applaud nadin for for her relevance as a reporter!

Comical.

Another in a long line of stream of semi-consciousness on the part of Nads. I think she just posts there instead of talking to herself.

Does she know self-importance, or self-impotence? One would hope that the second's there, too.

Anyone with more then two brain cells would know that this close to the SD Comicon is to late to get any credentials let alone for a no name newspaper that goes out for free. I have been to three of the Chicago Comicons and that was always filled with people,I can only imagine how hard it would be to get special passes for that. Stupid Gnome wants everything handed to her.

The whole purpose of the nutcase's post was to brag to the DUmp she and her free weekly moonbat blog got a press pass to a meeting between low-class state department flunkies and some Chilean junket group. And then she complains about not getting in to ComicCon. She also can't get a pass to anything else that anyone's interested in.

What job can we calls this, to add to her resume?

First of all let me preface this by saying that I love comics. A lot of people discount comics as being a childish medium; however, I feel they are wrong. When you have a good writer telling the story with words, a good artist (or art team) telling the sotry with pictures, a good colorist to set the tone and they all mesh together as a team, it is an amazing form of art.
With that said, I've been to a couple of conventions. There are already a lot of freaks and idiots there. I'm sure the organizers don't want additional freaks and idiots running around with press privileges.

She also can't get a pass.....
You mean she can't get anybody to make a pass at her.
