How Did The Presidential Race Get So Close And Should I (We) Be Unduly Concerned?
President Obama was trading at .60 on intrade a few months ago. Now he's only trading at .52 which means this race is essentially a pickem.
And these gambling/trading odds are confirmed by recent polls.

How it is that 0bama isn't being stomped is beyond me, all one has to do is look around at how things are and how the 0bama administration thinks things are. They want to claim that Romney is out of touch, meanwhile they are partying with celebs left and lefter, and saying the private sector is doing fine.
I hope and pray that most of the country will see through the BS and put 0bama into early retirement this coming November.

they don't understand what the republicans have done with their obstructionism nor do they understand why the economy is in the mess that's in.
Unfortunately, to a lot of people in america, those who don't pay attention, Romney looks like an intelligent, likable friendly, caring, capable guy and he's not black....
I understand exactly what the repukes have done with their obstructionism they have slowed down the destruction that lord 0 so desperately is trying to bring down on us all. The last line needs to be fixed, black needs to be replaced by a communist. Romney looks like an intelligent, likable friendly, caring, capable guy and he's not a communist.

David Maraniss’s new biography of Barack Obama is the first sustained challenge to Obama’s control over his own story, a firm and occasionally brutal debunking of Obama’s bestselling 1995 memoir, Dreams from My Father.
Maraniss’s Barack Obama: The Story punctures two sets of falsehoods: The family tales Obama passed on, unknowing; and the stories Obama made up. The 672-page book closes before Obama enters law school, and Maraniss has promised another volumne, but by its conclusion I counted 38 instances in which the biographer convincingly disputes significant elements of Obama’s own story of his life and his family history.
The two strands of falsehood run together, in that they often serve the same narrative goal: To tell a familiar, simple, and ultimately optimistic story about race and identity in the 20th Century. The false notes in Obama’s family lore include his mother’s claimed experience of racism in Kansas, and incidents of colonial brutality toward his Kenyan grandfather and Indonesian step-grandfather. Obama’s deliberate distortions more clearly serve a single narrative: Race. Obama presents himself through the book as “blacker and more disaffected†than he really was, Maraniss writes, and the narrative “accentuates characters drawn from black acquaintances who played lesser roles his real life but could be used to advance a line of thought, while leaving out or distorting the actions of friends who happened to be white.â€
That the core narrative of Dreams could have survived this long into Obama’s public life is the product in part of an inadvertent conspiracy between the president and his enemies. His memoir evokes an angry, misspent youth; a deep and lifelong obsession with race; foreign and strongly Muslim heritage; and roots in the 20th Century’s self-consciously leftist anti-colonial struggle. Obama’s conservative critics have, since the beginnings of his time on the national scene, taken the self-portrait at face value, and sought to deepen it to portray him as a leftist and a foreigner.

If some of the comments from the liberals, on my local newspaper's website, regarding an article about Obama's announcement Friday of giving 800,000 (estimate) illegal kids work status, is any indication....Obama pissed off a lot of his supporters.

What part of the country are you from. Down here in the Southwest, I don't think Hispanics are that thrilled.
I think Republicans hit it out of the park by framing this as 800,000+ young bodies competing for jobs.

I disagree, I don't trust the Republicans at all to not cave even if they had a veto proof majority, with people like McCain and Graham in the Senate and Boehner in the House? no thank you.

So am I. That race was neck-and-neck until the last week, and Ronnie proved to be a closer. I think that Romney will do the same. Why else would the Obamessiah's team trot out this latest scheme to get votes? Their internals suck for this point in the campaign--it's the only explanation.

Newsflash, DUmmies--there are exactly two reasons why the polls are as close as they are now: 1--the MSM is in full-out campaign mode for the Mocha Messiah. 2--You ****ing DUmmies can't look past your free ponies you STILL haven't gotten yet to realize what kind of shitstorm would happen were his policies fully implemented.
