This actually makes me sad. :(
-
I just now hear that too. At the bottom of a pool? I wonder what happened. I'll wait until actual info comes out before saying anything. The DUmmies will not, I am sure.

From wikipedia:
Later life
In 1993, King entered an alcohol rehabilitation program (...)
In May 2008, King checked into the Pasadena Recovery Center in Pasadena, California, which was filmed as part of the second season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, which premiered in October 2008. Dr. Drew Pinsky, who runs the facility, showed concern for King's lifestyle and said that King would die unless his addiction was treated.
He also appeared on Sober House, a Celebrity Rehab spin-off focusing on a sober living environment, which aired in early 2009. Both shows filmed King's quest not only to achieve sobriety, but to reestablish a relationship with his family, which had been severely damaged due to his drinking
On September 9, 2010, it was confirmed that King was to marry Cynthia Kelley, who was a juror in the civil suit he brought against the City of Los Angeles.

Reminds me of William Shaftner who lost his wife to the bottom of a pool. He called 911 to say he could not get her out of the pool as he did not swim. Kind of surprised as less then a week before we had watched him in an old movie and he was swimming like a Dolphin.-----Hard to believe that was his stunt double.
Sad to hear Rodney passed on, I never realised he was that young. For some reason I thought he as in his 40's when he made headlines thanks to someone trying out their new camera. Just an ordinary man that changed life as we knew it. [The camera man, not Rodney ]

Do you mean William Shatner ?
-
Shit happens and it did not happens soon enough for this Punk.
-
Not to speak ill of the dead, but Rodney's whole life seems to be vindication that the thin blue line did it's best to keep decent people separated from the not so decent.

Guy's life was a trainwreck from A to Z. Seems like the guy was making news on an annual basis when I lived there; beating his wife, speeding over 100 mph (you'd think he would have learned the first time), possession, and on it went.
This from a guy who, had the media shown the ENTIRE tape that was shot and not just the 81 seconds the MSM showed ad nauseam, would never have seen the light of day after the fact, and the entire world would have said, "Yeah, he got what he deserved."
Sorry, not pissing on his grave, but not shedding any tears either. Guy is a poster child for a lot of what is wrong with the system.

:tazeme: He had too much interaction with the cops even after 1991.

Werd.
You get what you pay for. In Rodney's case, we got what we paid for. A stiff floating in the bottom of a pool.
Rodney, I sure as hell hope you find in the hereafter whatever it was you were looking for in that pool, but a sober 5-year-old could've told you you were searching in the wrong spot.
DUmbass. Par excellence. :loser:

Certain they'll find drugs and/or booze in his blood. A no-brainer there.

As much as I think drugs and drink are likely, there are other possibilities: he might have suffered a cardiac arrest or TIA/stroke while swimming (likely due to his years of drug use, but not necessarily a result of drug use on the particular day); also, I know that once in a while while swimming laps I've lost track of the length of the pool and bashed my head into the end of the pool, seen stars, and considered myself lucky for not passing out. That's a not-uncommon accident and might have happened to him, but with enough force to render him unconscious. You never know.

He could have been reenacting the Whitney Houston
