This Sunday will be the 15th Father's Day I have spent without my daddy
My father was a great man. He worked at the same airplane manufacturing plant his whole adult life beginning on the day of his graduation and ending with his death 45 years later. (except for the 2 years he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict from being drafted) He never had to serve overseas but instead was an instructor at West Point for soldiers that did go overseas.

He and my mother raised 6 children, two boys and four girls. He loved his children fiercely and although they were not rich, what we lacked in finances, we made up with in love. We are a close family and Daddy's death rocked us all and still does 15 years later.

My father worked at an Aircraft Manufacturing plant and many times turned down lead because he didn't want the other guys in the plant to think he was better than them. He quietly paid his machinist union dues and when they went on strike, he walked the picket line when it was his turn. He never made a big deal over politics, but he did vote in every election. He also gave blood as often as he could because he had 0- blood. He never bragged, it was just want a mad did.

He was diagnosed with Leukemia on December 31st 1996 and died March 31st 1997. The day of his official retirement party, while the guys in the plant were waiting with balloons and cake and cards, my father was quietly taking his last breath. It was never proved, but probably the leukemia had some connection to his job of 45 years.

I know many fathers are not perfect, but if yours is still alive, please let them know you love them. I would give anything to tell my father I loved him one more time.

Happy Father's Day Daddy. I know you are looking down over us, I miss you and love you so very much.

He became a union factory rat after finishing High School, and was an instructor at West Point.

He wasn't a big fan of father's day, but he was a fine person and I will miss him as long as I live.

Was he born your mother before the surgery?

New campfire.

That did seem strange.

Is the "Korean Conflict" some new PC label the moonbats are using?  I must have missed the memo.

I wonder what he would think if he knew his daughter was a member of a website full of hate and the members there, including his daughter, think that they were better than everyone else. Plus the members of the website tries to make every single aspect of life be about politics and makes a big deal out of it. And his daughter likes to brag.

REally? Your father turned down a likely higher paying job when he had 6 children to support because he cared about what other people would think of him if he did? However, this sensibility didn't extend to any resentment other men who actually had to go into battle may have had at him staying behind in a cushy instructor position eh? Not even the sensibilities of other factory workers who had to go overseas when he didn't? DEMTEN's dad either has inconsistent character, is the archetype for her lacking intelligence, or she's full of shit.

I don't think that Pammy posted that. Where is the bragging about possessions that the rest of the unwashed over at DU could never afford?

She's so poor that she has to sell spirit chicken eggs to buy electricity in a bottle.

I still miss him.

It's a real shame that it didn't happen before you were spawned.

He quietly paid his machinist union dues

I found this to be an interesting choice of words.  It sounds like a painful, yet dutiful chore, paying ones union dues.  She threw a strike in there, too, it's obligatory.

That was pretty funny, though:  45 year factory rat, or West Point instructor?  Which is it going to be?

She can't help it.  It's involuntary, like breathing.  She opens her mouth and a lie falls out.

I've called it "sympathetic cranial rectitis"--having your head up your ass and loving the view.

She iz it.

Now, wait a minute. Maybe it's the wine I've had this evening, but I think you all are being a little hard on Demtenjeep. This was a tribute to her dad--nothing overtly political. Sure, there were a few um--inconsistancies, shall we say, but overall, she was just saying she appreciated her dad, and misses him, and telling the moonbats to appreciate their dads while they are living.

Can't we cut her a break, just for loving her dad??

Greenbriar is incapable of loving anyone but herself. She view's other people as a commodity, to be used to benefit Greenbriar, then discarded.

She only posted the phony tribute in order to get other people to reply to her, to stroke her ego.
