This is a time we will have to grit our teeth and try to view him as a human being.
Let's curb any bad thoughts we might have.

Sorry, not gonna happen.
You know -- you're right. I tried like hell, but I can't summon up any sympathy at all. He has done a lot of evil in his life, starting with the death of Mary Jo and continuing through his entire booze-soaked socialist political career.

KDKA in Boston is saying Kennedy had stroke-like symptoms.
-
Hyannis fire responded to the compound after a call was made around 8:30 a.m., the newspaper reported on its Web site. It's unclear what Kennedy's medical condition is, but after he spent almost two hours in the emergency room he was transferred to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, reported WCVB-TV in Boston.
CNN reported Kennedy had symptoms consistent with a stroke.

-
Commies around the world are on pins and needles hoping for the well-being of their distressed comrade.
-
It couldn't have happened to a nicer fellow!
-
Since he was at the Hyannisport compound they would have taken him to Cape Cod Hospital first - that alone virtually ensures that he won't survive the night. The golden hour on the Cape is getting out of CCH within 60 minutes of going there.
-
Nothing new yet. I did find some background on Kennedy's medical history.
Kennedy had preventive surgery in Boston in October to unclog a partially blocked carotid artery in his neck.
The blockage was discovered during a routine check of Kennedy's back and spine, doctors said. A blocked carotid artery can lead to a stroke and death, they said.

Prayers..............NOT. :rotf:

Even Dims are human...I agree that we need to curb our first thoughts and include him in our prayers. Possibly God will do a mighty work in his life and Kennedy may do some good with it, yet.
-
I certainly don't wish Ted any ill will, but I'm not surprised. A lifetime of fat, booze, and stress will do that to you. Though, honestly I expected a full-on cardiac event would take him out while yelling at people during a vote.
-
Death is part of life. Do democrats expect Ted Kennedy to live forever? At 76, and considering his history, I would think no one would be surprised.
I wish him well. I trust Ted will pull through this too. Remember, he survived an awful automobile accident in 1969.
There is one thing I am sure about. The United States senate will still be in business years and years and years after Ted Kennedy dies, which is inevitable and nonnegotiable.

I agree, I dislike Kennedy immensely, but I'm not going to lower myself to the standards the left wing lunatics use on people like Tony Snow for instance! That said, I hope Kennedy recovers and retires from politics, that's a win win situation.
-
Well I
can't won't curb the thoughts, I just won't publicize them.
He has a suite in hell all prepared for the day the inevitable happens though.
Prayers to the family in this time of tribulation.

This maybe my fault. I had a long prayer session a few days ago asking our Lord to Bless our country and help us through these dark days of liberal aggressions. I didn't get specific in my prayers, but as you know, the Lord does work in unexpected and surprising ways.

If John Kerry becomes the Sr. Senator from Massachussetts, who is responsible for appointing a replacement?

Deval Patrick the Governor I think.

Gotta agree with this. H5.
Also, bijou, you are correct--the Dem governor, Deval Patrick, would appoint the new senator.

I will not wish ill will on the man, nor will I offer any prayers for his speedy recovery. He needs to be gone from the Senate and from public service, he has done enough damage. I am sure he and God will have a lengthy discussion when he dies.

Yup! No ****ing way!
I would not grieve for Castro if he had a stroke and I will grieve for that fat assed traitorous pile of shit!
The best thing that can happen to that pile of shit is to lose full control of his bowels and blatter while having 24/7 dreams of Mary Jo Kopechne.
-
The best I can muster is a wish that he not suffer and that if he recovers he realizes it's past time to retire, "Klansman" Byrd is NOT going to give in first.
-
Prayers for Senator Kennedy and his family. I refuse to be as ugly as members of DU are at the misfortune or dire health problems of Republicans. We are all Gods children...let God judge.

But let us not forget the evil this murderer/socialist has done. I do not wish ill on him, merely justice.

I agree with you, let this kind of ugly hatefilled vitriol be a particular nuance of the lunatic left, it's their badge let them wear it with pride. you remember the comments they made about Tony Snow?
-
Kennedy's legacy will amount to one thing in the end, causing the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. I sympathise with the family for their personal sadness and certainly do not wish ill on Kennedy himself, but it is a mark of the seriousness of what he did that responses to his illness are so mixed among people who would ordinarily either offer some sympathy on a human level or simply refrain from responding to the story. Kennedy's international reputation is, if anything, worse. See http://www.order-order.com/2008/05/ted-kennedy-rushed-to-hospital.html

Thats about the best I can do also, for fat taddy has always been a POS.

I'm in the "let God judge him" crowd. As much as it pains me and as much as it goes against my nature because I am usually so vocal about justice for the forgotten (Mary Jo) I will not say anything bad about him during this health crisis. He's done a lot of things that are wrong but I am not his judge. Nothing would please me more than to see him retire from public life and for some of his disasterous policies as a Senator be rectified.
I also remember vividly how the DUmp treated Tony Snow and other conservatives in their time of crisis. I'd like to think that compassion and recognizing that Kennedy is a human being with loved ones who may be distraught is what separates us from the Dump animals. No grave dancing here for me.

Well, dear lady, you are probably a better person than I am, but then I've never denied that. To quote that great observer of the human condition, "I yam wot I am an' that's all wot I yam."

The only good Kennedy is a ........... one
Aint bad karma a b*tch!

I wish no ill will toward Sen. Kennedy and his family.
However, I hope that when he passes, he should accidentally drown....
No offense....
I'm sorry folks, but he's one of the absolute worst Senators in modern history.

Agreed. I found myself cringing yesterday as the U.S. media appeared to be gearing up for some kind of lionized eulogy. I don't know whether the Kopechnes are still alive, but I almost hope they have or will predecease(d) Kennedy so they won't be subjected to hearing laudatory things said about him.
Or when the time comes, please let the Kennedy family have the good taste and sensitivity to hold a quiet, private service.

Sadly, Mary Jo's mother passed away last December according to google. She was an only child and I'm not sure if her father is still alive.
I've read a lot about Chappaquiddick and there are so many angles, so many unanswered questions...

The mother of the young woman who drowned with ted kennedy driving--and leaving her for dead--because the narcissist had to 1) save himself and 2) call his lawyer. But this is the way of liberals--you can kill (kennedy), you can run a homo prostitution ring out of your roomates apartment (barney frank), you can be a former grand wizard of the ku klux klan, and you're welcome with open arms into the democratic party!!
Gwen Kopechne, RIP
Sad news form the Wilkes-Barre (Pa.) Times Leader:
A mother who lost her daughter in a well-publicized automobile accident in
Massachusetts nearly 39 years ago was remembered Saturday as a caring woman
who loved talking, drinking coffee and making pancakes for breakfast.
Gwen L. Kopechne, 89, died on Dec. 20 at the Valley Crest Nursing Home in
Plains Township.
A small gathering of family and friends attended a Memorial Mass in her
honor at All Saints Church in Plymouth.
Family photographs pasted on a board were placed near the altar, and two
pictures showing Gwen, her late husband, Joseph, and their only daughter,
Mary Jo, were placed on a table beneath a Pastoral candle.
Gwen was laid to rest in St. Vincent's Cemetery in Larksville next to her
husband and Mary Jo, whose life immortalized the family when she was killed
in the accident on Chappaquiddick Island on July 19, 1969.
Mrs. Kopechne lived almost four decades longer than her only child, who was
28 when she died. As far as we know, Ted Kennedy has no comment.

The MSM is still using phrases such as "American royalty" and "the fabled Kennedy klan" on their reporting on Ted's seizures. ::)
Camelot is a myth the far left NEVER wants to abandon. I do hope fatso Ted Kennedy makes a full and speedy recovery before he has a fatal heart attack and drops dead on the Senate floor.
-
I heard Kennedy referred to today as "the liberal lion" lions to me conjure up a majesty. Kennedy not so much!
-
The MSM is still using phrases such as "American royalty" and "the fabled Kennedy klan" on their reporting on Ted's seizures. ::)

The only thing royal about this klan is that they are/were a royal bunch of misfits.

The Kennedys are/were trash with money. Think Roseanne Barr's household with a Boston accent and you will get pretty close to what it is like inside The Compound.
-
My uncle hated the Kennedys. When he got drunk, he would bitch about Joe Kennedy making a dollar from every bottle of whiskey that got sold.
-
One thing I am grateful to the Clintons for is making the last of the kennedys totally irrelevant. Camelot mostly a disease of the elderly now.
I wish no ill of the man. He is an object lesson in the limits of the law, justice, and decency. He had the money to get away with murder. He is a rebuke to those who value victory over principle.
I do think when he finally dies, the world would have been made a better place for his leaving.
-
my only sympathy lies with his family..and if he has any, his grandkids....
-
my only sympathy lies with his family..and if he has any, his grandkids....
...probably some he doesn't know about and others he does not acknowledge.
-
I wonder if Ted is resting at home thinking just how much closer he is to meeting his end and facing the music?
-
I wonder if the seizures he had might have something to do with DTs by going cold turkey on alcohol consumption.

I do too, as one man to another. As an American, I am not going to mourn this man who spent his entire life trying to undermine my way of life and my God-given gift of a free and liberated nation.
Ted Kennedy is not a friend of mine. Ted Kennedy is the enemy of free people everywhere. I will not mourn his demise or pretend it is some sad day for America.

There are no liberals in the hereafter. Nothing changes a flaming liberal into a cheerleading conservative like meeting the Angel of Death. There are no lies or willfull ignorance on the other side.

I'm going to go the "if you can't say anything nice..." route. I hope God forgives him for what he did to that poor girl in Chappaquiddick.

He's got a lot of things to be forgiven for. Mary Jo, for starters.
I don't really pity him, though. I pretty much am indifferent about that, for the same reasons Undies mentioned above.

Bad news indeed for Mr. Kennedy. A life of wealth and priviledge for 76 years is all any man could hope for! He had it good. I wish dignity for his death!

What did I tell you about Cape Cod Hospital, go in for seizures and leave with some incurable tumor. Too bad for the man and his family, personally I could care less. - except AssHat Kerry will finally be the "senior Senator" from Massachusetts.
