Where you ever a repub or conserv?

I called myself a repub some years ago. It was the Contract with America in 1994 that I switched parties. It was repugnant to me and I quit.
on edit: I was young and stupid back then.

My first memories of politics was JFK and have been a Dem ever since.

I actually believe some of these shlubs. They grew up in Conservative households, but realized they liked smoking dope better than working, and found out they could live on the taxpayer/government dime instead.
