However, Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., says the Justice Department has refused to turn over tens of thousands of pages of documents. Those include materials created after Feb. 4, 2011, when the Justice Department wrote a letter to Congress saying no gunwalking had occurred. The Justice Department later retracted the denial.
"The Obama Administration has not asserted Executive Privilege or any other valid privilege over these materials and it is unacceptable that the Department of Justice refuses to produce them. These documents pertain to Operation Fast and Furious, the claims of whistleblowers, and why it took the Department nearly a year to retract false denials of reckless tactics," Issa wrote in an announcement of the vote to be released shortly. It will reveal the vote is scheduled for Wednesday, June 20.

The interesting thing about the bolded part of the text, is a truism of the Obama administration. They don't manipulate the law like Clinton...they just ignore what they don't like. And expect us to let it slide.

I think one point is being overlooked. This is really putting Obama in a precarious political position. The only way he can legally prevent the documents from being turned over is to declare executive priviledge. If he does that; particularly so close to an election, it make for one heck of a political ad.
If he gets caught between a rock and hard place, then the obvious choice is for Holder to resign and go into hiding.
Then Obama quietly tries to offer a presidential pardon citing the fact our country is much too polarized and for the good of the country he issued a pardon.
A certain segment of the population regales in his courageous leadership of course and those who disagree are racists and revolutionaries.
Then in about five years some guy quits the government and writes a tell all book and makes a lot of money.

You would have that look also with a boss like Obama. He has the look of a man asked the question, " If your house were on fire, you have 2 kids, what one would you try to save " ?
Naturally with Obama everyone is trying to save their jobs, follow his orders and not go to prison for doing so.
It must be one hell of a ride for those working for Obama that find they must choose against resigning their job and being loyal to the President who they do not trust or respect.
How much in fact did Holder know, was he kept out of the loop or was ordered to sanction things he knew nothing about or did not want to put in action ? Is this the look of a scape goat for Obamas mess ups or those trying to advance their own carear ?
