Why the right hates teachers, firefighters and cops.
Teachers are smarter, firefighters are braver and stronger and cops are authority figures.
I've mentioned my encounters with folks on the right before on DU...one said of firefighters "It's God's will, some houses will burn." And of cops "I get my public safety from the barrel of a gun."
Many of these folks home school their kids because they think they are better teachers and they can control what their kids learn.
So, there you have it in a nutshell: mistrust of learning, distrust of authority and jealousy of those who risk their lives for others.
Not a pretty picture.

Hey, when did we start hating firemen and cops? Did I miss a memo?

Well, I did get one from Obama wanting me to join his Gestapo and spy on people.

Typical condescending Liberal prick.
See how that works, DUmmie?

:lmao: They are nuts I tell ya. :lmao:

I think they have it backwards. It is them who hate Cops, teachers, and firemen. Sheesh, what a bunch of moonbats.
-
 right, they are the one's always on the cops asses about police terrorism :mental:
-
 right, they are the one's always on the cops asses about police terrorism :mental:
Exactly. Every time one of them mentions about a cop pulling them over, they scream about power trips and how all cops are bad.
-
I know lots of firefighters and more than a few police officers. The vast majority are dirty Rethugs.
Guess they're a bunch of self-haters.
Know a few teachers...the public school teacher is a bark at the moon Obama zombie. The others all teach at Catholic schools so they are self-hating Repigs.
DUmmies are just that...DUmmies

As it applies to Wee Willy Tosspot, here is a prime example of why it is you never buy anything out of the dented/mangled package aisle at the supermarket. If the box is screwed up, chances are the contents will be as well.

And this woman considers herself educated? This sounds more like the wanna be grown up ramblings of a 14 year old.

Indeed you have, DUmmie Raven.... :bouncy:
...one said of firefighters "It's God's will, some houses will burn."
:lmao:
No, they didn't! And if they had, this is a slight against firefighters how, exactly?
And of cops "I get my public safety from the barrel of a gun."
Nothing against the police, DUmmie, just a statement of fact. When one of obama's sons decides to deprive me of my possessions, my health, the health of my family, and terrorize us, my right of defense is not to call 911 - it is to end the threat as quickly as possible. Thus, DUmmie Raven, my immediate public safety comes from the barrel of a gun, the "sweet spot" of a baseball bat, the sharp end of a knife, the heavy end of the blackjack, the flat side of a frying pan, etc.... You get the point.
When seconds count, and the police are only minutes away, it is incumbent upon me to cowboy up and ensure that we survive and the assailant does not. The police, God bless them, cannot be everywhere and do everything. As a law abiding citizen who has been trained in the use of firearms and (some, not a lot) of CQB tactics, I am the first line of defense and the best aid to law enforcement. Mewling and cowering sheep that hide and expect someone else to save them are a drain on resources and an enabler to more criminal behavior.
Any further questions on this matter I will happily refer to the wisdom of Thomas Jefferson:
A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks.
Many of these folks home school their kids because they think they are better teachers and they can control what their kids learn.
Considering most of these over-payed, unionized "educators" know next to jack shit about things that matter (math, science, grammar, actual history, reading) and can tell you all about the oppression of various "groups" in America, I'd say that most people who homeschool are better teachers than the aforementioned propagandist slugs.
Quick anecdotal example: During a "family night" at my local public elementary school, the 4th grade children were playing a game similar to "Who Wants to be a Millionaire"; the subject was very basic astronomy. When a question regarding the distance of the Earth from the Sun came up, none of these college educated fools knew the answer. My 4th son's hillbilly daddy, who possess nothing more than a West Virginia public high school education, had to tell them that the answer was 93 million miles or one AU. I smiled at the two ladies and asked them why they didn't know that. Didn't get an answer....
Don't like that one? Here (http://news.yahoo.com/half-florida-high-school-students-fail-reading-test-232516894.html) is one that I know you'll really enjoy.
So, there you have it in a nutshell: mistrust of learning
Utter disdain of tax money being flushed down a shitter to overpay know nothings to "teach" self esteem and tolerance over fundamentals.
distrust of authority

Or at least the courtesy of a reach around after whatever judicial butt-raping I would be on the receiving end of after representation by DUmmie Raven.

I love how they always start squalling about police, firemen & teachers. Never mention the DMV, appraisal district & the three guys leaning on shovels watching one guy working on the road.

Teachers:
1. My mother is a second- grade teacher due to retire in a year. Last week, on the last day of school, I visited her class. While there, I watched as she, in turn, was visited by a former student of hers from a few years ago who was just awarded a scholarship to attend an exclusive private school in town. As he and his own mother came to the class to thank her for all she's done, my mom was in tears. I whispered to her, "How is it that you haven't won a Golden Apple Award?" She responded "I don't need one. He (The former student in question) is my Golden Apple Award." My mom would make a good subject for an "Inspirational teacher" movie.
2. The only gripes we have with teachers, and my mom would agree with this, are those (Usually public school, union teachers) who don't do their jobs properly and have no acccountability for how they perform, teaching kids useless things they won't need, while failing to properly teach them basic skills that they WILL need to become properly functioning members of society, hence why American kids tend to perform poorly on standardized tests compared with kids in some other countries. Basically, we dislike the teachers who, rather than teaching kids the three R's (Reading, writing, and arithmetic), feel it's much more important to instead teach them the three S's (Sex ed, self- esteem, and "Social justice"). The Wisconsin teacher's strike last year proved that union teachers care much more about money than about making sure kids get a good education, as so many union teachers were willing and even eager to abdicate their responsibilities to teach the students entrusted to them, in favor of instead throwing a bunch of temper tantrums at the state capitol while the students get out of school for extended periods of time.
Firefighters:
No conservatives I know have ever had any kind of issue with firefighters. We hold immense amounts of respect for public servants such as them who risk their lives on a daily basis.
Cops:
That accusation is even more ridiculous than claiming that we hate firefighters.
1. As with firefighters, no conservatives I know have ever had any kind of issue with police officers.
2. Conservatives treat police officers with the respect and dignity that their position carries with it. Liberals, in contrast, have demonstrated time and time again that they hate cops with the heat of a thousand suns. They refer to police officers as "Pigs," demonize them every chance they can get, cheer on scumbags who murder cops (i.e. Mumia Abu- Jamal, Lovelle Mixon), and often personally get violent against cops at their liberal protest rallies. DU itself is filled with "F&&k the police" threads. There's a reason why at Tea Party protests, things remain peaceful, and Tea Partiers can be seen talking and laughing with cops that are there to keep an eye on things. There is also a reason why at Occupy demonstrations and oher liberal protest rallies, things rarely remain peaceful, and physical fights regularly break out between the protestors and the cops (Almost always started by the protestors either attacking first or deliberately provoking the cops and then whining like the spoiled brats they are when they get arrested or pepper- sprayed).

Yep, just like everything else; Cops to them are thugs and bigots until they are needed to advance their agenda.

I used to live in NYC. The DMV is a straightforward, non-red-taped operation compared to the deliberately obstructionist Department of Buildings (DoB). I don't know how it is in other cities, but in NYC it is THE most despicable, useless, hellish, citizen-hating bureaucracy of them all. Bunch of worthless, lazy, paper pushers who live for nothing but to dictate to honest citizens what they can do with their own homes and make NYCers run from one agency to the other. Even other agencies' people, like the Department of Finance's employees, think the DoB people are insane.
There are other bureaus/agencies in NYC and other cities (and of course in DC) that are EASILY sacrficiable and in fact almost anyone would say "Good riddance!" regarding them. THOSE are the agencies we want to be rid of, not police and firemen, and those are the ones NEEDLESSLY pigging out at the taxpayer trough.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Does NY have the 3/1 road worker rule like TX?
-
Kind of hard to hate anyone like those peopel. I have both friends and reletives that are teachers and cops or have been both and even those that are not I have nothing but respect and love for them. Libs on the other hand can't find one thing about them they like unless they are on strike.

Hi BD and thanks. I don't know the 3:1 rule, but anything related to roads would be under the Dept of Transportation in NYC, also an agency that could easily be trimmed to about a 10th of its functions, although it's not the monstrosity that the DoB is. Is the 3/1 rule a featherbedding thing, a safety thing, or a featherbedding thing pretending to be a safety thing?
I remember what I went through regarding my Certificate of Occupancy and another item called a "Letter of No-Objection" in NYC (only a completely ingrown bureaucracy could come up with a name like THAT for an issued document). It's a looooooooong story, and one day, maybe in the next 2 weeks, I'll write it up here and I'll beg you all to believe me, it's all true, as utterly insane as what I'll tell you all will sound. But I recall that it occurred to me that, hell, all that REALLY needs to be done by this dept is 1) issue permits, 2) enforce zoning, 3) license insured contractors, 4) inspect new construction, and 5) respond to possibly decrepit and dangerous properties. What the hell is a C of O for, anyway? Didn't we all manage to live without those stupid pieces of paper, once?

As to the 1/3 rule down here in TX, I think it may have just spread across the border. It's not like a law or anything. My favorite candidate for extream prejudice would be our local appraisal district. Bastards make Dillinger look like a saint.

I have nothing against the police, firefighters, or teachers where I live.
I'm on a first name basis with the county sheriff (in a GOOD way), I have a cousin with the Virginia State Police, and various other family members that are teachers (although cousin one is a f'n moonbat!)
Where I live, the best 911 response time for the police would be 15 minutes. Enough time for whoever invaded my home to do whatever he wanted to, and be gone in time for the police to handle "cleanup".
That's why me and mine don't dial "911", we dial "9mm", as in a Glock, S&W, or Ruger, depending where in the house we happen to be. We also have a couple of 12 gauge pump shotguns stashed within easy reach. We have at least 2 guns in the house for each "resident".
The sign at my driveway says it all: Trespassers will be SHOT! Survivors will be SHOT AGAIN!"
Any DUmmies want to come "visit" me? :-)
-
So they've gone from the war on women to the war on firefighters, police, and teachers? What will be next, the war on kittens and puppies?
The thing that ticks me off the most about their "outrage" is the fact that DUmmies freely admit to hating cops all the time...hypocrites.
:bird:
BTW...my dad was volunteer firefighter, and he is now the local fire chief. He's been with the fire department for 35 years. He became fire chief after retiring from the ANG (active duty SR. Master Sgt. Loadmaster). He also volunteered with the county sheriff posse (we no longer have a volunteer force) for several years. I have the utmost respect for firefighters and policemen/women. They risk their lives for everyday.
-
The word "hate" is often used at the DUmp. It's no wonder these are the most miserable people on earth - they possess no positive emotion, no joy, no love, no gratitude. Their lives are ruled by negativity and they wallow in it.
-
Teachers are smarter
I would take issue with that. More educated perhaps, but education majors tend to be in the bottom tier of the intellectual food chain.
-

The old saying comes to mind . . . Yes, it definitely applies to any lefty "teachers."
"Those who can, do. Those who can't, teach."
-
I went over and looked at their thread. All of a sudden, they're all "We  Policepersons!!!" :blowkiss: O-)
It made me sick, having read their poison over the last 8-9 months or so, ever since the occupoopers got going last year. Do you remember any of that, DUmbasses?
As for firemen, we have to use volunteer forces out in rural places; my husband is one, and he's become downright teabaggerish lately.
