Wally World to look at ordering a new pair of specs. The Lenscrafters chapter in my life was a complete waste of time, except having learned that those ****sticks will never see my smiling mug again.

Already cleaned the axial flow valves in my bass trombone (after almost a year). Got some of that bluish corrosion shit workin', and I have a call in to Lee Stofer, just about the only guy I trust with my horns. Time for a chem clean and acid dip (for the horn, not Lee).  :-)

Already have walked the dogs at the cemetery -- it was/is a glorious morning.  :yahoo:

We get up early in the mawnin' heah. So there'll prolly be a nap in the cards later on.  :stoner:

Do you really feel comfortable walking dogs in a CEMETERY?
I can just hear a voice floating up from six feet under, "Scoop it uuuuuup! Don't make me come uuuuppp there!"
If these guys can still vote in lib states, they can follow you home!

On the other hand a cemetery makes for a romantic stroll.
"Look honey, here's the grave of my uncle Ernest."
"How sweet! There's two worms making love in dead earnest!"

I went down to the farmer's market this morning, walked around bit, and bought some fresh vegetables.  I'm not used to seeing so little fruit at a farmer's market.  I'm hoping that will improve as the summer goes on.

Not doing much today.  I have some homework and laundry to do,and I might go to the movies with a friend tonight.

I did go to a bachelorette party last night and spent some time talking to a very attractive British man at the bar   :-)

Well, the guys 'n gals who are at the cemetery don't seem to mind. When the poop comes, they know we move off to the side or do the plastic-bag-around-the-hand thing. (We've already discussed this issue.)

Kinda forced to do the cemetery thing as there really is no better place to walk in our immediate area. We can go to the park, but that's on the other side of town.

A couple weeks ago I was walking the dogs while they were in the process of stuffing a casket in the mausoleum. Something creepy about that in that I don't mind if they're being planted, but putting caskets inside a condo-like structure seems rather Soylent Greenish to me.  :panic:

Absolutely nothing.  Too cold to go swimming.  It will be 93 degrees for a high, but the water will be around 60 degrees probably.  Just can't tolerate that.  Our home does need a nice deep cleaning, so maybe I'll just do that instead.

Probably a lot of nothing.  The garden needs weeding, though.

Did a report before going in to work at JTV at 7, worked until noon.

Have 6 more reports to get done..5 are due today, one in the morning.

So here I sit catching up on all the CC news, instead.  :thatsright:

Going to go get a Double Chocolatey Chip Frappacino at Starbucks and a mani/pedi at 4.  :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Make some sort of sweet - can't decide what, but leaning toward turtle brownies or strawberry cupcakes or a trifle.

Sleep.  :-)

Polo school and polo games!  Yay!  I love summer.

Also painting my new rental, going to watch the Belmont stake, and have a ham in the crockpot for company tonight and tomorrow.

Now the big plan is to do a whole lot of nothing for the rest of the weekend

Nothing out of the ordinary. Went job hunting today then had Wing Stop for lunch. Tommorow it's breakfast at the American Legion post my parents volunteer at, then off to the local game store to get in a game or two of Warhammer 40,000. After that, it's over to a friends place for "Good Dinner, Bad Movie" night, where 2 people are randomly picked to prepare dinner/dessert and show a couple of bad movies (though usually we get good films).

Yesterday took my mom to lunch and went to a lunch for an old boss of mine that has terminal cancer.  Got some fried shrimp for dinner, and went to a new liquor store here, called "Total Wine and More"  Today is laundry clean house day.

I'd personally like details. :)

I woke up after 5 hours of sleep yesterday, mowed the lawn, dusted, vacuumed, and showered. Shared a bottle of red wine with a friend while I removed some nasty stuff from her computer and then went to bed at 10:30.

I was up at 7 this morning, enjoyed my coffee and the wonderful breeze coming through the house. I considered going to work, but I've decided to enjoy the rest of my weekend and then jump back into the grind tomorrow. I have a couple of loads of laundry to do today. That's about it for me.

Did you get any good deals?

Did you get any good deals?

UGH! I always find good deals there. I needed some frozen vegetables so I got a nice 4 pound bag of french green beans, they're just like the fresh ones you get in the produce section but with the convenience of it lasting longer because it's frozen, also picked up a 4 pack of frozen broccoli with cheese, I think they were both $4.99 a bag. Also picked up some nice oranges that were a little higher than I wanted to pay but they looked so good, bananas were a good price. Picked up a couple of herb chickens for $5.99 each and all I have to do it heat them up, and they have these really nice dinner rolls, I usually end up just having 1 for lunch, and it's a 20 pack for like $3.29, they're really good though. I wasn't going to pick up any meat, the prices were ridiculous, but I did find a nice pack of pork ribs that would be enough for 3-4 meals and they were just a little over $9 for the pack, and it's very meaty, hardly any fat on them.

I was going to try Sam's Club, just do a 1 day membership, but I didn't feel like driving up there so I just went to BJ's.

We went to Sam's yesterday, but didn't get too much.  We like buying water from there because they have the best price.

What brand water do you buy? We usually buy 5 cases of the 16 oz. Nestle Pure every month, it's like $3.59 for a 30 pack, and we also buy a 48 pack of the 8oz. Poland Spring. My Cousin picked up a case of the Sam's Club brand of water for us to try and it wasn't bad.

Oh, you know what else I bought EC? I bought Raw Sugar to try, we've been thinking about cutting out refined sugars so I saw this and thought we'd give it a try, the 4lb bag at BJ's was $5.99, it seems to be a little bit more pricey on Amazon though:

Arrowhead.  It's less than $4 for their package.

I can't stand the taste of anything else.

I have a gig with the Columbia Community Band at the Shelter Gardens tonight. Mrs. E is gonna come and bring the dogs, the camera, and maybe a lawn chair.

Cleaned the valve section of the bass trombone night before last. It was pretty funky and I saw some corrosion developing. Gotta get the horn up to Lee Stofer for a chem clean and acid dip to get rid of the funkies (made arrangements in a couple of weeks -- his shop is 5 hours away, so it ain't real handy).

But for right now, the horn operates beautifully. Definitely needed to clean out those valves -- it had been almost a year.   :p

1.  Raw sugar is awesome.
2. Y'all need to get a good filter, so you can have water at home instead of buying it.  That adds up!

I'm going to try it in my coffee in the morning, we're not big sugar users but we figured we'd try it.

The only reason we do bottled water is the convenience of it, just grab a bottle and go.

If you had a filtered water dispenser on your sink, same thing!

We reuse water bottles and fill them from a Brita filter on the tap.
