Title: US Creates 69,000 New Jobs, Unemployment Rate 8.2%
Post by: mrclose on June 01, 2012, 07:59:22 AM
Wasn't there talk .. not long ago about how Obama was going to 'create' a half million jobs a month?

Quote
The American jobs engine hit stall speed in May, with the economy adding just 69,000 new jobs while the unemployment rate climbed to 8.2 percent.

As another summertime swoon looms, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that job creation missed economist estimates for 158,000 new positions.

Labor force participation remains near 30-year lows though incrementally better than last month, rising to 63.8 percent.

Someone needs to tell this clown that the GOP has controlled one half of one third of the federal government for just over a year.  What about the 2 1/2 years before that?

Plus, being president is a lot like being a coach or a manager.  He doesn't create jobs any more than a coach or manager wins games.  But they can sure as hell lose a few, and Obama and his policies have done quite a bit to kill job creation over the past 3 years with Obamacare, Porkulus, etc.

Finally so many people have left the work force that even that statistical artifact can't buffer the U3 number.  Stand by for spin!

Excellent article mrclose, maybe owebuma will trot out the "created or saved" meme. A lot of people are trying to save their job.

Feds will meet in a couple of weeks and then in July. Hello QE3. Helicopter Ben is going to get his marching orders from the Magic Negro to flood the market with dollars to jack up the economy. This one will probably be bigger than the first two. The market will go up but it will have little effect on employment. Corporations have dug in their heels about hiring until after the election. Everything Obummer has tried in the last 3 1/2 years has gone to pot.

Looks like it might be a good time to buy gold. It went up over 60 bucks today. Many pundits are predicting that it will reach $2k by the end of the year.

It's like owebuma is chooming again, and has closed the doors of the American economy and is forcing everyone to respirate what he is smoking.

Gross Domestic Product was also downgraded for the 1st Quarter from a projected amount of 2.2 to the actual amount of 1.9. That is awful and is an indication that the economy is going in the wrong direction. Obama and Democrats will blame the Bush/Repubs for the bad economic and employment news.  :hammer:

Obama Sez: Congress needs to act on jobs

article (http://news.yahoo.com/obama-says-congress-needs-act-jobs-100801119.html;_ylt=An.80OLVagcOq5NI3hvnxtW3scB_;_ylu=X3oDMTQ1ZnIxcmduBG1pdANMYXRlc3ROZXdzIExpc3RpbmcEcGtnAzAxMGU0NjI4LWU5MjAtMzY2ZC05ZjlhLTRmNjU4Y2UzMGUzOQRwb3MDMgRzZWMDTWVkaWFTdG9yeUxpc3RUZW1wBHZlcgMyYWRiNTBiMS1hYzliLTExZTEtOWY3Zi0xY2Y1ZjI2ODNhZDg-;_ylg=X3oDMTFlamZvM2ZlBGludGwDdXMEbGFuZwNlbi11cwRwc3RhaWQDBHBzdGNhdAMEcHQDc2VjdGlvbnM-;_ylv=3)

They already did that: they shipped the jobs to foreign countries...

Senate (http://indagoworld.blogspot.com/2010/05/free-trade-senate.html)

House (http://indagoworld.blogspot.com/2010/05/free-trade-house.html)

It would be hypocritical of them to now, after the fact, decide that something must be done, when something has already been done.  How are they going to uncreate something that they have created?  I am reminded of the scene in the movie "Cold Mountain".  Ruby, played by Renee Zellweger, disgusted with the war, lamented: "Every piece of this is a man's bullshit. They call this war a cloud over the land, but they made the weather. Then they stand in the rain and say: shit! It's raining!"

"I don't know if you've noticed, but our two-party system is a bowl of shit looking at itself in the mirror." — Lewis Black

So when Bush was President, it was his fault for the job losses. Now that Obama is President, it is congress's fault? I call BULL SHIT. They can't blame the can do no wrong messiah for anything. It is the same principle as with gas. When Romney gets elected in November, they will go back to blaming the President again.

Obama will go down in history as the blaming President, and I will hang this over all the liberals heads.
