Ann Romney had it easy

One of the most overrated jobs is motherhood. Nearly half the people on the planet are able to perform it. If you can use a television to baby-sit and push a button on a microwave, you have 90 percent of being an at-home mom accomplished. The person who really liberated women was the man who invented permanent-press.
Women scam men by claiming it is hard work. It was – 50 years ago.
When Ann Romney, wife of presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, claims she chose to be an at-home mom, this raises issues. Most women are not rich enough to have that choice. Also, this makes Ann a gross underachiever, because even women who have that option can and do balance careers with parenting.
Normally the wife is off-limits in a campaign. That is, until the candidate claims she is his chief economic advisor – someone who never earned a paycheck.
Yes, Ann Romney has had it tough having to raise five boys with a $200 million checkbook, trying to squeeze in charity work and horseback riding. We should all have it so tough.

AC Editors are smart
AC Editors only published this silly letter because they knew the blogs would come rolling in heavily. By attacking the letter-writer, you are only stimulating support for the Romneys.
Congratualtions AC Editors. You're pretty smart manipulators. And I'm not being sarcastic. I am an anti-Obama man and I appreciate your wickedness.

Michael Ledo better invest in asbestos coveralls.

He's gotta be gay. Nobody with a real wife would have been stupid enough to write that.

I recommend going over and reading the comments. I was speechless, but they're not.
Interesting, isn't it, that our familiar Conservative posters are rising up in defense of women's rights, whereas our Liberal friends are strangely silent.
It's not the Right that is waging a war on women, despite what the Left continues to tell us.

Our family is far from rich, but I plan on being a SAHM once our debts/cars are paid off. That will be about three years or less. Our only debt would be the mortgage at that point. We shall see though. I have to budget in private school for our daughter to see if we can afford that on one salary. If not, I'll just continue working to ensure she doesn't get anywhere near a public school.

I've looked into Dave Ramsey, but just can't get into his system. I'm just stubborn and do things my own way. :rotf:
I have our family budget planned all the way out to the end of August.

My sister's in a similar situation - in fact I think that today is her last day working. Money won't be easy, but raising her daughter is more important.
