To begin with, he can't just put down a few words at DUmmyland, he's got to link back to his blog:

A Jo'rneyman's Song

By William Rivers Pitt, Truthout | Essay

*blah blah America is superficial and commercializes war blah blah*

Ten years ago, almost to the day, I wrote a book denouncing the folly of George W. Bush's impending invasion of Iraq. For years afterward, I would receive letters, emails and phone calls from the mothers, fathers, wives, siblings and children of soldiers who had died in that war, asking me why it had happened, why we were there, why, and why, and why. All of my answers - oil, money, politics, power - were ashes in my mouth. It is no different now.

*blah blah war is for money and no one cares blah blah*

Who the hell outside a few hardcore moonbats even read the drivel in his pamphlet interviewing a pedophile, and why would anyone call this alcohol-soaked bastard for the meaning of anyone's death, especially that of a warrior?

Outside of the DUmp no one would.  And he knows that.  Hence the reason he keeps bringing it up...he hopes that if he continues to shill that pamphlet he wrote he might get another interview on CSPAN Bookreview or they'll rerun his last time on there.

I will ask the primitives once more. If this were a war for oil why is gas so expensive? Why have we not invaded Canada and Mexico where we import most of our oil from?

I would ask the liberals why they hate this country and everything it stands for. They hate the troops, they hate the people. They hate the ways, and they hate the path we are going. They just plain hate. They hate Christians, they hate jews. They hate working people, they hate the rich. They hate family men, they hate women. They just hate, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. That is all they know, hate, hate, hate, hate, hate.

Things they do love are terrorists, abortion, gay marriage, the OWS, communism, socialism, totalitarianism, fascism, racism, Obama, MSNBC, Shooting people who do not agree with them, looting, property destruction, breaking windows, flipping cars, shitting on police cars, raping people, cocaine/heroin/acid/pot/lsd/crack, indoctrination, Al Sharpton, Jesse jackson, Tayvon Martin, Malcom X, lying, etc, etc, etc, etc........

Don't forget, nothing Pitt ever wrote was a book until his mother paid a vanity publisher to run off a few copies. He received no correspondence about it, because no one ever read it except for himself and his mother.

Did any of Pitt's books rise out of the 1,000,000's on Amazon?

Last time I looked, they were 1,300,000 and lower.   :lmao:

Even the Scott Ritter co-authored one!   :lmao:

The one he actually embeds a link to in the paragraph quoted in the OP is currently riding the crest of #1,377,039 at Amazon.

So that would mean that what? Two, maybe three people bought his book? That is more people than watch MSNBC.

His ranking depends entirely on how many copies the wallduded DUmmy Raven will pay to have printed.

Hades fire DD. I can't stand to read one of his bowel movements on DU, let alone wade thru a whole book of his stupid tripe. I think I would shoot myself first.

Well he is a columnist for Truthout and he does live in Boston so it ain't 100 percent untrue. 99.5 percent untrue, yes, 100 percent untrue, no.

He lives in Boston... I don't know if he's held a job for more than six months, so the "work" part is up for grabs.  As for publishing at Truthout, I thought they stopped posting his stories after the Leopold debacle.

They got one of his bowel movements up right now on the home page. I don't think they put up much of his stuff like they used to though. Maybe he has been demoted to "guest columnist".

Asking Will Pitt why the war happened is like a gorilla why the sky is blue, but you're likely to get a more intelligent response from the gorilla.

I have to hold up my hand here - I was the one who called and wrote Will Pitt about the war and why, why, why. One day I wrote several letters and sent them to the publisher listed in Pitts book; I list several here:

Dear Will Pitt:

I am writing to inquire the reasons for our involvement in this war. I am also interested in your particular interest in the war. After all, oil is at stake, not liquor.

Please opine.

Dear Mr. Pitt:

My son was just sent home from Iraq and the first thing he did was have a very loose bowel movement in my guest bathroom. Can you please investigate what was done to him in Iraq by George W. Bush? I've included a stool sample in case you need evidence.

Thank you,
Dixie

Dear Mr. Pitt:

We have reviewed your briefs concerning potential action against the Conservative Cave in re: Andy Stephenson, and we offer the following options:

1. Go **** yourself
2. Eat a dick
3. Some combination of (1) and (2).

Thank you,

All of us in Gitmo appreciate your support, and we all hope to sit with you for a beer someday. So few Americans appreciate our plight, and you are doing a wonderful job of advocating for us under the Bush Administration's reign of terror. By Allah, I thank you.

Still, you look like a dick with ears.

Sincerely,
Kareem

Interesting you quoted the word "Whuffo".

That's what skydivers call "Legs".

And now, back to the topic.

Pitt missed his true calling for his tomes and essays.

He should have patented them and sell them as sure-fire cures for insomnia.  :lmao:
