Sen. Brown demands Harvard correct record on Elizabeth Warren
By Josh Lederman - 05/25/12 01:44 PM ET
Sen. Scott Brown (R-Mass.) is calling on Harvard University President Drew Faust to correct its diversity statistics after it was revealed that his opponent, Democrat Elizabeth Warren, was listed as a minority despite failing to meet federal guidelines to be considered Native American.
Brown's demand followed a Boston Globe report Friday showing that both Harvard, where Warren teaches law, and the federal government have specific criteria determining who can be listed as Native American in diversity statistics provided to the government, and that Warren does not meet those criteria. The report also showed that the university almost always based its statistics on how employees self-identify, calling into question Warren's claim that she was unaware Harvard had listed her as a minority.
"I call on Harvard President Faust to immediately correct the record with the relevant federal agencies and uphold Harvard’s 400-year-old tradition of abiding by the truth," Brown said in a statement.
Harvard did not respond to a phone message and email asking whether the university would accede to Brown's demand and correct its statistics.

So potential outright fraud is a made up controversy. Imagine if a repuke had done this, I'm sure DU would be all over it.

3. When you don't want to run on your record, smear your opponent
it is sad how often this works. How could anyone care about this issue, but like the presidents birth certificate if you talk and talk about it suddenly that's all anyone talk about. Meanwhile no one talks about the actual real thing Scott Brown has done in office to make the lives of Americans worse. No they will get everyone focused on the hair splitting contest on who people think can claim is and isn't a minority.
That's the 0bama game plan, smear Romney as much as he possibly can.
Warren was busted, deal with it DUmmies.

heritage because they are not enrolled? Enrollment is a legal means to determine who is eligible for tribal benefits not a geneological law that determines when you become white. It is my understanding that she did not get benefits because of her claim. That should be the end of it.
She sure did get benefits from her false claim, she took the job away from a more deserving candidate for the job.

The controversy is real. What is fake is your candidate. In the age of the internet it is almost impossible for you libs to get away with that pathological liar problem you all have.
Say, that reminds me of another shortest book ever selection for my catalog:

Can anyone recommend a good indian recipe book ? The woo woo kind, although some consideration will be given to the red dot kind.

This shows that they are desperate and have a sign of defeatism. There is no way the Warren will win after this debacle. The libs fried O'donnell because of her Witch comments. Now that it is happening to them, they don't like it. Typical hypocrites.

Liberal shitholes like Harvard bend over backward to give kid-glove treatment to their precious minority nitwits.
Fauxcohontas got the same affirmative-action preferential treatment as the jug-eared muslim did during his time there.

is 1/16th...isn't that what she is? My memory isn't the best, but I was sure I read that she was 1/16th, the same as the counsel head of her tribe.
On edit: Anyway, this only matters to those who wouldn't vote for her anyway. What does Brown think he'll gain from having a hissy fit with Harvard?
Or the other side of the coin: This only doesn't matter to those who will vote for her no matter how big of a liar she is.

If she lied about this, I can only imagine what else she lied about.

Easy enough to figure out.

She's a liberal, therefore, she's a liar.

Where does the Boojaaw guy stand on this?

That is a given. But I am curious to know whether she lied about anything else that has to do with her past. I can only imagine the stories she told.

Bally probably doesn't need help with her purse as much as she needs help with her glasses when she's visiting the john.
Her last pair went where even our buddy Omaha Steve probably wouldn't even go to fish them out, with his nail on a stick.

John F'n Kerry (who served in Vietnam) has high cheekbones, and I don't think his uptight ancestors have been anywhere near an Indian (dot or feather) in a carnal way since they came over on the Mayflower (or was it the Titanic?)

Didn't Kerry's ancestors come to America in a PBR, running gunboat cover for the Mayflower on Christmas Day, 1620?

I am always amused by the left, and how their positions on everything changes based on who is hurt and/or benefits from the action or notion in question.
During the Bush years, the cliché "What did he know and when did he know it ?" was mighty popular on DU - the only time it shows up anymore is when they are questioning a rethug.

BTW, Harrrrrvard says "say what" in reference to Elizabeth lying, throws her under the bus, just a snippet, you can read the rest at the link:

Former Harvard Admin Throws Warren Under the Bus
In the reaction to the Boston Globe's controversial article on Harvard's EEOC reports which listed Elizabeth Warren as a Native American, one particular revelation has gone largely unnoticed. Alan Ray, the former administrator who filed diversity reports during Warren's tenure, distances the university from any responsibility for erroneously listing her as a Native American.
[Ray] said through a spokeswoman that he "never encouraged any faculty member to list himself or herself in a particular way." Ray added that Harvard "always accepted whatever identification a faculty member wanted to provide," a characterization another highly placed former Harvard administrator backed up.
In previous reports by Breitbart News, there has been no definitive evidence--no silver bullet--that Warren is the one who volunteered the idea she was a minority. The evidence discovered by authors John Sexton and Michael Patrick Leahy suggest it is very likely, but the possibility has not yet been established as fact. However, with this statement, Mr. Ray has denied the only other likely explanation for EEOC reports listing Warren as a Native American.
Either Warren suggested to Harvard, as she presumably did in her Pow Wow Chow byline, that she was a Cherokee, or Harvard, either from her appearance or from some historical evidence, deemed her Cherokee. However, as has been explored in excruciating detail, there is no genealogical evidence for Warren's assumed heritage, and her blonde-haired, blue-eyed appearance does nothing to suggest any kind of minority background.

Here in red state hell, we're very familiar with PBR, but it's not a boat.

Nope. As far as I understood in passing reading about this; the proof from a brief note written on a picture from so long ago provided by her to a genealogist could not ultimately be proven in actual family records. So as far as I understand, she is not even 1/32nd Native American.

Yeah that. What else did she lie about? Anything important and a lot that wasn't, would be a safe bet. That female is one high pile of walking arrogance, her public manner bespeaks someone who cannot believe anyone would ever call bullshit on her.
