Obama: 'Since I’ve Been President, Federal Spending Has Risen at Lowest Pace in Nearly 60 Years’

(CNSNews.com) - President Barack Obama on Wednesday staked his claim to being the most effective fiscal conservative to serve in the White House in more than half a century.

“Since I’ve been president, federal spending has risen at the lowest pace in nearly 60 years,” Obama said at a campaign event in Denver, Colorado.

“Yes, we're going to streamline government,” Obama said. “There's more waste to be cut.”

They are eliminating the 2009 fiscal year, which he signed into law. It is total BS. You can guarantee that if a republican was there, the MSM would be saying different.

Edit: His budget for 2013 is 3.7 trillion!

Its half true. For 2009 Bush gets credit for that years budget which was 3.1 trillion but Obama spent 3.5 trillion. From that 3.5 trillion number spending has grown less than anyone else in 60 years but if you start at the 3.1 number his spending is higher than some presidents. But its really WHAT hes spending the money on and the tax revenue dropping because of poor policies that have destroyed us.

The socialist moonbat legislature of Connecticut ran in 2010 as fiscal conservatives. It worked great, they all got reelected. They have since 2010 raised taxes by nearly 2 Billion and increased spending by multiple billions of dollars - including a nearly 1 billion dollar liberal wet-dream "busway" between 2 useless cities. All while solidifying state union contracts and freezing layoffs for 4 years.

Since Obama signed the budget into law, he is responsible for it.

Plus, he's taking credit for the jobs it generated. Again, all the glory, none of the blame.
