What's with Jaden's "blue steel"?

It looks to me like the kid just got blamed for ripping a fart that the other one actually did.
And it stinks. :lmao:

I think he is trying to look cool like James Dean or something. FAIL.

His pants are the ghey seriously

Actually it seems to me many African americn families look 'manufactured' as you call it. There seems to b a huge cultural emphasis currently on consumerism and materialism. Like I said: currently since these things in my mind are never permanent fixtures of any culture but seem to b prevalent currently in that particular community. Not sure why; maybe it's the prevailing measure for success at this point in time? Like I said those tides come and go as the generations change so thankfully more substantive measures will hopefully take thier place. I'll give them kudos though for keeping a Hollywood marriage together.

From the TMZ link:
Will and Jada have been married for 13 years and have two extremely famous children together -- Jaden and Willow.
Extremely famous? Ya know, I'd never seen them or heard of them until Gina's thread here. I have zero interest in "celebrities." These two kids are two good reasons why. I feel like smacking both of them.
-
I may be the only CC probie to say so, but, I have a policy of not publicly criticizing kids. Unless maybe they are convicted of a serious crime.
These are children, their parentage and upbringing are not their decisions to make.
Once they are adults, if they continue to pose oddly and etc. publicly then fair game. Otherwise, in my opinion, leave children alone.

I think the kids have already chosen to be public figures. Acting and singing usually involve being a public figure.

They're still kids.
I am not trying to say you shouldn't criticize a song they do if you don't like it or whatever. But how much autonomy do they have? Legally, none. In point of fact, almost none. They are being raised to be this way.

I was just ripping the annoying song. Her father of all people should closely follow what she is doing. Instead she sings this inane crap.

Sea naturaly we as kids, if we have a knock down geogious mother want to resemble her in some way.
:hyper: :hyper:
Me as a kid had a natural blond blue eyed mom with a fantastic figure. The boys came around to see her not me, I was a a dull brunett with brown eyes with a skinney frame. No real boobs for years to come.
So I tried with the spray bleach to lighten up my hair, disaster. At 14 I began to watch mom put on her make up, eye shadow and mascara, Dad asked me if I had mold growing on my eye lids.
Along came the Minni Skirts, Mom could wear them in style, when I put one on Dad said I looked like I had door knobs for knees.
Finally I decided to go my own way, Mom was beautiful and dad was baulding at that time.
Before I was an adult I tried everything, dark hair, red hair, blond hair, I was begining to wonder if I was adopted as I did not resemble eather of them. or anyone else in the family.
-
I made it to about 5 seconds of that song. As soon as she started with the "I whip my hair back and forth" I shut it off. God, was it awful.
That is the only song she released? and Will's son was only in two movies. One with his dad and one by himself. Now how in the hell are they both super famous from that? Unless they are counting them as being Will Smith's kids. At which point I can see it.
Something else about Will Smith is that I have a lot of respect for him (No matter what is political views are). He was successful in Rap with out all the f-bombs and constant swearing. He also does not swear in his movies. At least I don't recall ever hearing him, I am sure I missed it somewhere though. And as for his kids being stars, I don't believe they would end up as crack head skanks like Miley Cyrus is. That girl has some serious issues, the main being that she is too immature. Of course I could be wrong.
On a final note: Will someone please tell that kid that his pants look like shit. Wow.

Vesta, when I meant ride on the coat tails of their parents, I didn't mean in looks. What I meant was these kids , become famous because of their parents fame. The average kid, has to take an interest, take acting and/or singing classes, do tons of the theatre work, and go to many auditions(which take huge amounts of money). Children of celebreties have their foot in the door, before they can walk....
-
Whoever wrote that song for his daughter should be shot. Man it was bad. Now if she would have released songs like these. I might like her better.

I was just doing some research on the Divorce matter between Will and Jada Smith. It appears that the issue is that Will wants to the kids to focus on school and wait till they get older to pursue a career. Jada wants them to pursue their careers. I agree with Will. The kids are only 10 and 13.
-
"Focus on their careers"? Other than being the spawn of some celebrity and his talentless wife, what do they have to focus on?
Can't believe they put her in the Matrix movies. So lame.

Well, their daughter with her songs. I guess she is going on a singles tour - And their son with his acting. I still think they should wait. They are too young. But that is just me, and I have no say in how people raise their kids.
-
I don't either, but I do have an opinion on the drek their offspring produce as "art" or "culture" or whatever else you want to classify it as. It's garbage. Did the world really need a remake of 'The Karate Kid'?
I think the wife needs her head examined.

When some parents think their kids have talent, there is no way to sway it. Look at American Idol and the other talent shows they have on TV. Some of those people are God awful, but are their because their parents dug into their brains that they have some sort of talent. When a kid stinks, you have to tell them so. It is better for them to know at a young age and learn from it then constantly hearing they are great when in all reality, they suck.

That is different and a very caring thing to do. The people in Hollywood who dress their cats like that pic are just seeking attention.

Someday the boy might look back and be embarrassed. lol Personally, I don't think stardom is good for a kid. Seems like so few grow up well, or we don't hear about the ones who do.
I went through a phase where I (thought I) was too cool to enjoy or appreciate anything. My oldest did, too. We both still cringe when we think of it.

From the comments section at The Daily Mail:
What is wrong with Jaden's eyes? They're little slits, it looks like he has myasthenia gravis. They really should get that checked out.
Why do these kids annoy me so much?!
You would think that will all the money that family has, that someone would own a mirror....and USE it!
I am a teacher of potions and if that young man was in my class he was be lose his house 50 points every time he pulled that "looking at a very bright light" face. Ridiculous
.
Stop pushing these kids & let them have a normal childhood. They are not especially talented
Wow, after listening to her song, I'm annoyed, she is making out that she is depressed, she is ELEVEN for gods sake, stop being so annoying!
Why does he always insist on pulling that dopey sleepy eyed face?
What's with the constant frown?
VOGUE. Try.....ing...too...ha..rd. Jayden will have frown lines to rival the grand canyon by the time he reaches his 20s

that boy will get some serious wrinkles in his forehead in just a couple of years.

Gina, kids do not do this on their own. Look at the damn programs for 4 year old beauty queens.
There is a big difference between fathers that take their children both boys and girls out with them when they do work on a truck or tractor. Big difference when a parent teaches a child to cook or sew, paint or sculpt.
Some of our best entertainers were born in a trunk, as kids they watched their parents entertain all over the country. They worked behind the scenes for years until they had mastered the parents craft.
Today we see these kids that need to be in school to be come educated years before they can claim they have a carear in anything. Parents are pushing to make the kids Minnie-them in a time far different from their own.
No parent can or should claim their child at pre teen has any kind of carear. Kids need to feel their way about and decide for themselves after years what they are best suited for.-------Screw the parents-----what they want for the child may be the worse thing for them.
My two boys when it came time for them to go into the military, their father had been a Sub Sailor, born and raised into the Silent Service. One went to Merchant Marine Academy, the other into the Army.
We as parents could have Pushed they go into the fathers profession, both sons would have as both were eligible for that service due to their grades on tests.
However both had their own talents and ideas that were outside their fathers profession.
These Poor kids being forced into the lime light to at a very early age to get into the same carear as their parents is a recipe for disaster.
WTF are they doing there but to please the parent, no wonder a 12 year old looks spaced out.
