Understanding politics is too complex for most people I know
And it is not because they are stupid, or lazy, or ignorant. It is nothing like that. It is because most people do not have the time to learn how politics really works. They have jobs, kids and other commitments that are on their mind constantly. So they are forced to decide how to vote mainly from political headlines they see in the news or what they hear from friends. They don't have time for the actual content beneath those headlines. Now they may take the time to research one political subject that really interests them. I have seen that happen. But they will ignore the rest. Be great if it wasn't this way, but it is. No way to change this.
Reason I was involved in politics so soon in life was because of our union. Our union wanted us to spend the time to understand politics because they knew how important that was.

1. Politics is simple, but unfortunatly, so is oppression
Politics is simple. It is when people get together to discuss, sometimes, passionately, the issues of the day, as well as vote on them. For the most part, though, criminal activity such as theft of productive rights and planetary destruction, which should not even be PART of any rational discussion on politics.
Unfortunately, we have a party which exists solely on the expansion and proliferation of those criminal activities. The fact that wealth transfer from the productive workers to the non-productive "owners" is proof enough that such activity cannot be politicized, yet the GOP is financed by that very criminal effect. In addition, the planet is being destroyed by those same owners who, under the allowance of political discourse vis a vis the GOP, are allowed to conduct such a destructive effort to the point where life on earth is utterly at risk of survival.
THIS is not politics. And we must not allow such an organization to flaunt itself under the guise of politics. This is a criminal organization, through and through, and as such, has no bearing nor no moral compass in which we should abide by its decisions.
The American republican Party MUST be destroyed. Once we do that, the politics becomes simple again...as it should.

2. It shouldn't be difficult. You vote. Then, for your own good, the elected bail-out the super-rich with your credit card.

3. Most I talk to simply feel too politically impotent to care, and just keep repeating past voting. They do seem to understand that the pols and gov't and congress are alll bought and paid for, but no matter who we elect, status quo continues. Is it complicated, not really, it's just so corrupt that complications are created in order to essentially disenfranchise most of their constituents, legally.

4. "All politics is local." Tip O'Neill
Most folks don't give a rip about politics. They're far more concerned about their jobs, their bills, their kids, enjoying life.
They go through most of their lives without seeing their lives change much no matter which of the two establishment parties are in power.

5. They have time
If they really want to. They are not forced to vote with little information. Information is widely available. There is no excuse for this kind of thing - they just don't care, and things don't ever get bad enough for them to look beyond their own noses.

6. People are not interested in politics, that is why.
They find it boring. Money and business they also find boring. They want to be enteretained. That's just the way it is.

There are some incredibly vapid insights there. I am using the term "insight" very loosely.

Politics are simple. You lie to the DUmmies about how many freebies you're going to deliver to them, they vote for you, you commit a little voter fraud, you get elected and then between golf games and vacations you lobby the rich for bribes and campaign contributions....simple :-)

Second verse, same as the first -
Just a little bit louder, and a little bit worse.
Oh! The cow kicked Nelly in the belly on the farm.. (etc.)
Edited for clarity.

No Claritin for me.
Last time I took that stuff, I had a vicious case of "road rage", and I wasn't even driving!

Give DUmmie Donnie a break. He can't help it.
A straight line is a complex geometric shape to him.
Two straight lines is a typical weekend. :lmao:
