With Ron Paul exiting, now would be a good time for Obama to evolve on cannabis prohibition
Mitt Romney is already on video here:
(SNIP)
This is a prime opening for the Obama campaign if the president were to evolve on the issue and draw a contrast with Romney.
Yes. That would about seal up the election I think.

We'd like to win this election. He's already gone out on plenty enough of a limb already.

9. explain why you think it's a losing issue..

12. I really think this would be a losing issue for him.
I mean if he wanted to take that position I would support him.
But I don't feel any urgent need to legalize pot.
It doesn't feel the same as civil rights.

18. my guess is that he will 'evolve' on this in the second term, but not in this campaign
and it's probably not a good idea if he did at this time.
reality Based Community they are not.

The queer vote, the dope vote, the black vote, the broke vote, the lazy vote... hey pretty soon we'll be talking a second term for Obama.

It's a challenge to organize those splinter groups into a community.

Nice reference to the topic title. "It" is in the bag. You almost slipped that one past me.

I don't recall if it was here or another site but the question was what would be the next shiny object to distract the idiots of the left from 0s terrible job performance. I wish I had thought of this one just for yucks.

Oh boy.. the primitive brings up the NORML "tax the weed" issue - I also noticed the primitive referred to the Rasmussen poll that NORML is using.
This is probably the only time the primitives have ever accepted Rasmussen as a credible source.
Anyway, It will never be an effective tax revenue generator. All it takes is dirt, water, and sunlight to grow Marijuana. its so easy, even someone who is baked 24/7 can do it. Unless they create a cadre of government spliff inspectors who can tell the difference between genuine and bootleg bud, they will never be able to tax what is consumed. Not even close.

It will never be a tax generator like the dopers claim simply because not everyone is going to start toking up even if it is legal . Businesses will still have mandatory drug testing and that right there keeps millions of people from firing up a bowl. Then there are those that just don't want to do it for whatever reason.

I hate the "let's tax it" argument. Have these guys never heard of the black market, hooch, bathtub gin, and moonshine. None of those get taxed.

The only way 0bama is going to get elected again is if a majority of the country is a) somehow stoned off their asses and b) still mobile enough to make it to the polls.
