Anyone else remember how if felt after 9/11 with a rapture ready nut in charge?

And over 90% of the country caught a case of mass Stockholm syndrome? They had it so bad they actually approved of that crazy asshole Bush who let it occur on his watch? Bush had a +90 % approval rating for a short while. We watched over 90% of the country become crazy as a shit house rats overnight.

Remember when you were wondering if what was happening was real? Especially when people you knew, even seemingly normal and intelligent people you had known your entire life began acting like characters from the movie Invasion of The Body Snatchers? I didn't know any of them any more? Remember how that felt?

I get cold chills up my spine whenever I think about that period of my life. Please, lets don't ever do that again.

Don

They really have no understanding of Christianity at all. They confuse the second coming with the 12th iman, in which the 12th iman will be brought about by the actions of the muslims, the second coming is purely up to God and when He decides to do so.

2. I remember exactly. Even my friends were hesitant to criticize that coke head

when he was telling the country to go shopping. Even on the phone with me. Even in private.

And there is a very good reason to remember. RMoney is the BushCo candidate. They're itching to come back, folks.

Funny, 90% of us had never heard of the cokehead in 2001, it wasn't until 2004 when he got the spotlight at the dem convention that many of us ever heard Barrack Obama's name.

Ohh wait she is accusing Bush of being a cokehead.  :whatever:

3. Yes. I remember

My main worry was that Bush would react exactly the way he did, and I was invited to leave the country by a woman I worked with. She actually said she would gladly give up her rights in order to be safer. Four years later she was wishing someone would assassinate Bush to put us out of our misery.

Uh huh sure, it was your friend wanting Chimpy killed, not you.  :whatever:

4. I must be lucky. Everyone I know thought Bush was the cause of 9/11.

Within hours, my sister called me to say that Bush did it. But then we grew up in one of the most liberal towns in America. In the shadow of Stanford university.

12. I like to close my eyes and imagine President Al Gore with a 90% approval rating...

Then I wake up.

Close your eyes and dream of 0bama having a 50% approval rating.

I wouldn't trust grouchy old Don's memory past five minutes.

The guy has a track record of mixing things up as it is.

That's who I at first thought "the cokehead" was.

It would have been a wreck if Al Gore was President at the time. There is no way that nut case could have worked that out.

It would have been a wreck if Al Gore was President at the time. There is no way that nut case could have worked that out.
If Gore were president at the time, his first statement would be something like, "Alright now, we can't be consumed with thoughts of revenge or even of catching whoever's behind this; we have to try and get to the root causes of this. We need to figure out what we did to make these poor, confused individuals so angry at us. A theory I'm operating on is that they are angry that our overconsumption- driven lifestyles are killing the planet. Thus, effective immediately, I will be imposing a mandatory carbon- offsets tax on every American citizen."
Then, as Al Qaeda is emboldened by his wussiness and continues comitting mre d more terrorist attacks on American soil, Gore will respond in the same way each time: absolve the terrorists involved, blame America for it, and use it asn excuse to impose another mandatory "Environment"- related tax.

DUers hate America. They despise the freedoms in the constitution. They are totalitarian wanna-bees with dreams of a murderous purge for all who disagree with them.

9-11 happened, and to their horror, Americans rallied around the flag. Patriotism swelled in our hearts. DUmmies discovered that only a tiny minority hated this country. They were that minority. Seeing the Flag everywhere offended them. Seeing Americans blame an obvious enemy and not ourselves was terrifying to them. Years of liberal brainwashing went down the drain that day.

This is why they embraced the "Bush-was-behind-9-11" conspiracy. It was a defensive self delusion. That Americans would support a non-liberal president by 90% in spite of liberal media propaganda revealed the failure of liberal mind control. Liberal senators were outsmarted and voted to support the war...TWICE.

Yes, I understand why the events following 9-11 is such a horror movie for liberals.

But we evil conservatives have another horror movie in the works. It's called: the defeat of Obama and the rejection of the liberal/socialist agenda. Its coming in November 2012.
---and I got front row seats.

I remember in the aftermath of 9-11 a bunch of congresscritters singing patriotic songs. I also remember that I didn't think the Dems were sincere in that showing. Turns out I was right.

You know, if you think about it, Collapsing two buildings ain't nothing compared to collapsing a nation. OBAMA IS DUH MAN.

We need a republican house, senate and president to clean up this mess.

Substract 1 talking point.

You would think that it would remove a talking point, but they will use it anyway.

'RMoney' will be considered by the left to be a "Rapture-ready fundie" as a way to negatively compare him to G.W.Bush, since nearly nobody other than Mormons know what they believe.

They neither know nor care about the content of religious thought on the right - whether Christian or Mormon.

Had Sen. Santorum been the candidate, they'd have him marked down as 'rapture ready' too. Most of them don't seem to know what the rapture is...but are very sure that it's wicked.

Most of them? Try none of them. They are as ignorant to anything bible related as anyone can get. If they knew anything about the bible, they wouldn't be liberals (Well, I should say social liberals. As there are liberals who are social conservatives, and they do know what the bible is).

Despite their hate for this country and conservatism in general. They should be thankfull that a man was in charge on 9/11 and not one of their sorry assed left leaning heros. None of them would have tried to get back at OBL and they would have continued on with more attacks.

There's been more than a few stories around about Dems expressing the feeling that they were happy that George Bush was the President that day, and not Algore.  Something about the feeling that they knew that President Bush wouldn't take any shit, and he'd go and fight al Qaida on their turf.

Algore would have been in the "we brought this on ourself crowd"...then tried to explain that the reason we couldn't go attack the taliban in Afghanistan for 9/11 was because the emissions from all of those military vehicles would cause harmful greenhouse gasses and increase man mande global warming.

ManBearPig's "90% approval rating" would have only come about if the only people you'd asked were members of ELF/ALF Code Pink and al-Qaeda.

He never did start a nuclear Armageddon the way DU kept promising he would.
