Title: Hockey Mom is converting her freeper husband.

I think I scored some point with my Republican husband today

We were talking about a friend of his and how he is very depressed and can't afford, or want, to do anything. He works for a county in Florida. There have been no wage increases since 2008 and it was announced recently that wages are frozen indefinitely. The man is engaged to be married. I read that medical insurance is now up to $1,000 a month for a family. I don't know what the deductible is now, but for a single individual it was $3,500 a month. Back before I quit last August, Rick Scott passed an executive order saying that ALL State of Florida employees must contribute 3% of their salaries to the Pension Plan. While a judge declared that illegal for current state workers, the State of Florida came back and said they spent the money and could not return the funds. Even the good, Faux news watching husband, said that was despicable. "It's THEIR MONEY", was he quote.

My husband also mentioned that his private employer insurance is GOING WAY UP this year. He pays $125 a month just for himself, with a $2,500 deductible. Hello? Under Obama care, insurance companies could not charge more by ZIP CODE, as in FLORIDA. My daughter in NY works in the private sector and pays $50 a month of health insurance (soups to nuts) with NO DEDUCTIBLE. but Florida has no STATE INCOME TAX. Duh? Unless you have a lot of money to begin with, all these other costs will more than make up the difference.

Maybe I should keep on working on my husband. When you give him real, actual, living people's situations, he can understand it. Why can't he see that in his case, too, that Romney and their agendas are against HIS own interests as a Senior who has a very, very limited 401K, will need Social Security and Medicare. Just because when you were YOUNG, you thought the Republicans represented your interests, it doesn't mean that they will NOW meet your interests.

Maybe I will try to work on him, and harp on REAL INDIVIDUAL life experiences, including OURS, and our children.

I could have sworn that 0bama claimed that if we passed the health care bill that insurance premiums would go down.

Yes he did, claimed it would go down 3,000%....hell, at that rate shouldn't the government be sending you a large check if you carry health insurance?

If I had my choice, I'd take the 125.00 a month W/ 2,500.00 deductible and no state income tax over 50.00 per month and no deductible and a state income tax.

Speaking of 0bama's lies, did anyone hear him just the other day claim that the GOP was trying to double interest rates on student loans? I heard it on the news on the radio and I about drove my truck in a ditch when I heard that.

It's all he's got. Can't run on his record. Now if the MSM would "fact check" him like they do a repub, Obozo would be polling in the 20's about now.

I predict that HockeyMom is going to be posting a running soap opera of her schooling her rethug husband.  Little by little he will come to see the light.  The climax will come just before election time when he admits that voting for the dog eater is the only logical choice--Rmoney is just too "scary" to take a chance on.

This is the worst bouncy ever.

The husband is against the state forcing people to pay into something they may not want, yet he is going to see the light and vote for Obama who is doing the same damn thing on a national level ?

Hockey Mom clearly loathes her husband. The stupid bitch should really not be bringing her domestic situation into the DUrinal.

I predict Hockey Mom will post sometime in mid-October that she threatened Republihubby with loss of consortium if he voted for Romney. I further predict she'll be mooing about divorce court in January, and the DUmbasses will fall all over themselves telling her she's better off without him.

Edited for grammar.

Yup...heard it too...but what he failed to mention was that Pelosi and company passed the legislation so that it would expire in an election year.

He's also going to hope everyone ignores that he said he's going to veto any Republican efforts to prevent the interest rates from rising.

try to work on him, and harp on

Ye gods.  Poor guy.

The loss of consortium and divorce court that you guys are seeing in the crystal ball won't be by her initiation.

Most likely the husband wants to just shut her up so he's like yeah yeah yeah Obama, and he'll vote Republican when he's in the voting booth. Contrary to what they think, Republicans are not swayed easily, we have our beliefs and that's it, so those on the left need to stop thinking they have persuasive powers, they don't.

When I'm arguing with a "brick wall," I tend to do exactly that.  Or, far more accurately, someone with less intelligence than a brick wall.  Tends to be a lefty 100% of the time.

I know, that's a $42,000 a year insurance policy!  They're always coming up with stuff like that.
