From Yahoo.com:

Quote
DEARBORN, Mich. - Democrat John Edwards has given his long-awaited endorsement to Barack Obama. It's a major boost from a former presidential rival as Obama tries to shrug off Hillary Rodham Clinton, who is determined to press ahead.

Edwards was to appear with Obama in Grand Rapids, Mich., as Obama campaigns in a critical general election battleground.

The endorsement comes the day after Clinton defeated Obama by more than 2-to-1 in West Virginia. The loss highlighted Obama's work to win over the "Hillary Democrats" — white, working-class voters who also supported Edwards in large numbers before he exited the race.

Edwards, a former North Carolina senator and the 2004 vice presidential nominee, dropped out of the race in late January.

betcha she expected it! The whole freaking Democratic party is throwing her in the trash heap. "With friends like that who need enemies?"  :rotfl: she needs a new party affiliataon while she still has some pull! I wonder how many normal mainstream democrats (if there is such a thing) can see how many knives are sticking out of her back?

Breaking news:  Sue Lyons has endorsed Barack Hussein Obama.  We are still waiting on word from Delores Haze.

how gutless.  more than a week after the primary in his home state, where he would have been expected to make an endorsement, and one day after the WV primary, where his 8 percent may have somewhat softened the effects of the blowout on the candidate that he finally endorsed.  and after the nomination is locked up.

then the big coward finally gives up his endorsement; after nobody really gives a damn anymore.

this is why most dems don't even respect this big [name for a feline house pet].

I'm seeing things wondering about if he's gonna be the pick for VP.  One can only hope.  But I bet Obama is smarter then that.  Edwards in no way helped Kerry out.  He won't do anything for Obama either.

the (partially insane, IMO) thinking goes that if he can carry a southern state, say, NC or VA, it will break the GOP's back.
it seems like the fact that he couldn't carry his own state in 2004 would have put an end to that line of reasoning, but that
is what I am reading.

Wow, Barack Hussein Obama managed to find a more vapid politican other than himself - the Silky Pony probably is shooting for the Attorney General slot in an Obama cabinet that will never exist.

He had to see which coat tail he could jump on. That's why he waited so long to announce his support. He wants a job.

Does it really matter who endorses who?  How many people out there leaning toward Hillary are saying, "Oh my!  I'm for whoever that guy is for."?  Wait, don't answer that.  I don't want to know.  I'm already disenfranchised with the American Voter.

it could mean as many as 19 delegates, which was the sum total of the massive gold mine of delegates that he struck after spending millions and millions of dollars, and four years of his life (if you assume, as I do, that he began running for the 08 nomination before john kerry actually finished his 04 concession speech).

but even that is irrelevant.  obama is going over the top on the 20th, and that would have happened with his endorsement or without it.

what his endorsement DID accomplish was to draw the media's attention away from the a$$ kicking that obama suffered in WV.
