Oh my.

I just got back from dining on the fine cuisine at the local VFW club, and still feeling hungry, decided to check in on the cooking and baking primitives, who I've been neglecting for some weeks.

well hell, just lost the heating element to my oven with a huge ham in the oven.

They just don't make appliances like they used to. We have an old refridge in our garage that we bought 15 years ago. It still works great. We bought a stainless steel side by side refridge for our main inside fridge and 3 years after purchase, the compressor went out luckily it was still under warrenty. We bought the stove at the same time and now we will be fixing it.

1. Do you have a gas grill with a cover?

I've saved a few meals this way.

4. Woah, that's weird

My oven failed tonight for the first time in ages - the pilot light went out in the oven part (which I realized after my chicken was sitting in it an hour, urgh). I tried to relight it which is usually no big deal but nothing would happen. The husband got mine going again - but it must be Oven Satan Day or something!

10. Blargh, something's wrong here

The top right pilot was out last week once, which I didn't think much about because it relit right away, but still that only happens once a year or so. And then this morning the left pilot was out. I don't understand! Why is the dead light rotating around my oven?!!

The defrocked warped primitive, she with the face like Hindenberg's, who's been banned for life from nursing:

5. My 80s Monkey Ward gas stove just keeps going along with the 70s fridge and washer & dryer I bought refurbished 16 years ago. I almost wish they would conk out, I have the money to replace them now.

6. I'm on my third replacement

First time we paid someone to come and fix it. The 2nd and 3rd time we bought the part and hubby fixed it. It wasn't all that hard to fix and buying the part and doing it yourselves will save you time and money.

Hopefully you can do the same with yours.

7. We have a Sears Kenmore electric stove and oven--

--that is so old that the warranty address is Chicago 6, Illinois.

8. My GE wall oven is 46 years old.

I'm on the third replacement element. This ancient oven just keeps going. The timer hasn't worked in years but the oven temperature was still accurate the last time I checked it.

My 1 1/2 year old Maytag glass top countertop stove is on the fritz. The repairman will be here on Thursday to figure out why one burner won't work and fix it. No - they sure don't make applicances like they used to.

Pam Dawson is still as transparent and as simpleminded a liar as she was in her Top DUmmy heyday.

This thread has nothing to do with the heating element in an oven.

The purpose of this thread is to tell the DUmp that Pam has new, expensive stainless steel kitchen appliances.

And furthermore, she has relegated to the garage a refrigerator that was purchased way back in the Golden Age of appliances, the late 1990s.

She wants the other DUmpmonkeys to believe she tosses stuff into the garage that they would be thrilled to own.

She has spun similar bouncies over and over for years, in the tradition of Spooky's Glock.

You are, of course, correct as usual.

And half these idiots, if they cared two shits for Mother Gaia as they all proclaim, would have gotten rid of those decades-old appliances years ago and replaced them with much more efficient Energy Star appliances which cost a fraction of what the old appliances cost to run.  I dare say the savings on electric bills would pay for those new appliances in short order.

DAng, that is when I bought my house, my stove/oven was purchased in 96, according to the manual left for me.  Dang glass top has one burner with one temp-scalding hot, and the other three are warm-maybe.

I have software that I run my school papers through before I turn them in. It checks grammar, spelling and the like. Well I put this post through it and the damned thing froze up on me.

I still shudder to think that this person was teaching innocent children.

Pam hasn't had a heating element in her stove since Doug left.

You have your DUmmies confused. Doug Ferrari left poor, stupid Beth. He's a heroin addict who's still homeless as far as we know.

Pam is married to a skinhead who is in I.T. for the City of Wichita. He drinks and slaps her around, but she had it coming, and they've been married for about 23 years.

     Oh crap, you're right.

I guess my post was incorrect in content but right on in spirit. Duh.
