SEALs slam Obama for using them in bid to take credit for bin Laden killing during election

Serving and former US Navy SEALs have slammed President Barack Obama for taking the credit for killing Osama bin Laden and accused him of using Special Forces operators as ‘ammunition’ for his re-election campaign...

Ryan Zinke, a former Commander in the US Navy who spent 23 years as a SEAL and led a SEAL Team 6 assault unit, said: ‘The decision was a no brainer. I applaud him for making it but I would not overly pat myself on the back for making the right call.

‘I think every president would have done the same. He is justified in saying it was his decision but the preparation, the sacrifice - it was a broader team effort.’ ...

(Arianna Huffington) told CBS: ‘We should celebrate the fact that they did such a great job. It's one thing to have an NBC special from the Situation Room... all that to me is perfectly legitimate, but to turn it into a campaign ad is one of the most despicable things you can do.’

When ARIANNA blasts you, you know you're waaaaaaaaaaaay on the fringe.

OK, I'm just going to post this in one big blob. You guys can read the rest on their um...site if you can stomach it.

These people need to be beaten severely!

47. well, that explains this arsehole

If any president would do it, then why didn't little boots pursue it? Maybe, just maybe, OBL was quite the political tool for little boots. I remember, as well as, you should remember arse when little boots publicly stated he wasn't concerned with OBL. I mean after all, he already got what he wanted and keeping OBL out there, especially during the 2004 elections seemed to be very useful for the repugs. Nothing like having your alleged enemy basically endorsing Kerry, oh no, doesn't want the all powerful little boots back in office. Maybe OBL knew little boots wouldn't pursue him, but kerry would have. Ever think of that, Zinke?

52. I believe that the President gives them all the credit for the action. He give himself credit for

decision to act. This is just an attempt to or a further attempt to have the forces disrespect their CIC. The ones who fall for this crap already don't like the fact the Obama is President...the military is full of them and they get support from FOX and friends in criticizing the President. A pox on their houses!

42. He would have been the first one to lead the parade of SEALs

to go to DC to shake Bush43's hand, making sure that Faux & all the other "liberally-biased media" had the cameras on, recording exactly why they were there.

Hey, Mr. Zinke ... we had a guy in the WH who had no brain, and he DIDN'T PULL THE TRIGGER ...

Obama taking credit for killing Bin Laden is equivalent to Roger Goodell taking credit for winning Superbowl 46.

Obama is in Afghanistan right now....and it must be cold as hell because he's shaking all over.

"OK, 10 minute photo-op and lets get the hell out of here.", Obama.

Because they know they would be spittin out teeth if they did.  They may be traitorous little bastards, but they are smart enough to keep their pieholes shut when they don't know who might over hear them.

Like I said before. No one in the military swore an oath to protect asshats like the ones that live at the DUmp. We swore an oath to the Constitution and the Country . They just happen to occupy it by Gods Good Grace. They might want to remember that .

What about the guy who pulled 0bama off the golf course in time for the photo-op? Without that photo, 0bama would have a lot shorter arm to pat himself with.

SS agent, "Mr. President, the NAVY SEALS are about to make a hole in one."

Obama, "Bastards know they should never show me up on the golf course like that. I am "The One"."

You seen the video of him playing golf by guys a ways away? They were laughing their asses off saying he sucks. As much golf as he plays, he should be on the PGA, but alas, he sucks. Pretty much what he does at everything else.

In Ronald Reagan and the Bushes, we had Johnny Unitas and Peyton Manning.

Now we have Leon Lett.

With the Bushes we had Matt Ryan and Phillip Rivers. Great QBs, but not willing to be consistent. With Obama, we have Ryan Leaf. An idiot elevated to the highest position, but still a thug and a loser. Reagan was our Manning, either. Talk shit about Eli all you want, but he's the one sitting across the Thanksgiving table at the house in the Garden Section from Peyton with two SB rings. :stirpot:

Both are clutch as hell. I've seen Peyton wave off a punting unit after Dungy sent them in. They didn't take the field and Peyton converted. NO QB has leverage like that. Is it September yet?

We'll see how he does with a lesser offensive line. What you described is one of the reasons the Colts are kind of a fustercluck right now. Manning had too much control. I daresay they won't be all that great for a few years now. Luck can't do it all by himself. It's the Manning/Leaf situation all over again with Luck/RGIII. Who got the Manning. Colts or Skins? Time will tell, but they better not make either one of them the be all, and end all of their team. Otherwise, when their career is winding down a decade down the line, they'll be in the same situation the Colts are in now.

The other QB will have warrants, and be facing multiple years in prison. :-)

I suspect both Luck and RG will be successful, though I think RG will experience it first, and I disagree about Peyton having too much control. He's the QB. He's the leader. You build a team around a QB. They won a SB and, to my recollection, never missed the playoffs under his tutelage, save the first year. With Eli, all it took was getting rid of Tiki. You can't have two leaders.
