Jeannie can't strike either. She's a business manager for three radio stations and tomorrow is billing day.
I might get fired if I don't show for my job. Jeannie wouldn't miss a day of work ever.
I'm sure there are many other DUers that must work tomorrow.
Land taxes are coming due.........

I find it amusing that this DUmmy can't strike because he has to pay money to the government.  :rotf:

No reflection on you, congratulations on finding employment in this economic climate.

What do you mean this economic climate? Didn't you watch the video Forward? According to that video everything is wonderful.

Don't worry, panader0, nobody else with a real job or even anything important to do by the way of chores is paying any attention to it either.  There will probably be some scum-sucking anarchists trying to start shit, of course, but they're alive solely because it's illegal to beat them to death like they deserve.

5. Don't feel bad.

Take care of yourself. This is going to be a massive fail anyway. A general strike only works when everyone does it. I don't know anyone who even knows about this, let alone participating in it.

May Day is a trial run for liberalism in general.

I'm not working tomorrow, it's a normal day off.  However I think I'll make a trip to Walmart and help their sales figures for the quarter.

So much for that "recovery summer" and claims we are out of the recession. Oops, a liberal accidentally told the truth.

You sound like someone who's never visited a Walmart on the first day of the month.

You may want to reconsider.

Go to Sam's Club if you have a membership.  It's safer there.

Yeah DUmbasses, you're not communists. We'll just look over the fact that May Day is a COMMUNIST day. MOST of you dumb ****s that have jobs, would even HAVE a job if it weren't for one of those evil, Capitalist "1%ers". They didn't do too well under the communist model in the USSR.

It isn't the first of the month that is so bad, but the 3rd of the month here.   For some reason the first of the month isn't that bad.

Thanks for the reminder.  Gawd, first weekend of the month at Demoula's.  The checkout lines remind me of the evacuation of Saigon.

That used to be the day Social Security checks were received.

Anyone to started getting SS benefits since the late 90s, though, receives the money on the second, third, or fourth Wednesday of the month.

I'm sure that's why grocery stores advertise senior citizen discounts on Wednesdays.

People who receive both Social Security and SSI still receive benefits on the third of the month.
