1. It's one of the BEST dresses I've seen on her. . .

44. +1!
I thought the exact same thing! I think she looks best in elegant or "pretty" dresses and this one is both...

cares that you're "amused". First Ladies, traditionally, have the necessary profile to bring much needed attention to up and coming fashion designers. Not everything should be viewed through your cynical political lens.

21. And knowing all that, you "chose" to drop your turd in this particular punch bowl?
I'm sorry, you could've moved on, but I suspect your post was more about chastising other DU'ers for something you consider trivial and/or worthless. It's called the shame game. Some very valuable DU'ers were run off from this site because of the treatment they received at the hands of folks like yourself. I, for one, enjoyed the pic threads, and more importantly I cared about the people who posted them.
Not everything has to be earth shatteringly serious all the time. The president and first lady are under enormous pressure & scrutiny 24/7, so I don't begrudge them evenings like this, even if their critics think it's frivolous. This thread would have been perfectly okay without your negative input.
I just wish we knew what nadin's comments were before the self-delete.

56. Indeed. This particular poster quite often gets it wrong, and on much more serious topics.
Self-delete is a neat little trick for posters who get cold feet. They get their message out, they get replies, and self delete before it goes to a jury, thereby avoiding the dreaded "hidden post". Depending on who you are, self delete is both a blessing and a curse. The poster in question is a master at this game.

34. Er, what?
What in blue hell are you on about?
This rant really makes no sense, Nadin.
We are appreciating the first lady's choice of gown for the evening (and shout out to the designer) as well as the fabric selected for the design.
What does that have to do with "boards and city councils"?

39. Nadin, seriously.
Suffice it to say, if you don't find it interesting (or don't care about the first lady's gown), WHY would you come all up in here and spray graffiti on someone else's thread who IS sharing that with people who DO appreciate the pics?
Lord knows you would be in nuclear mode 12 if someone came onto one of your threads and suggested that what you were sharing was trivial and or vapid. Can't you proffer the same respect to others?

I admit to being quite interested. Mrs. Obama looks fantastic! I'm proud that she is our first lady and represents our country so well.

32. If you're so indifferent, why bother to post...that you're "so glad that (you) care not at all". Seems like a lot of effort for nothing.
Was it just to leave those of us who are silly enough to care, in awe at your superior detachment? Or to be derisively "amused" at our expense?
What an unpleasnt, self-satisfied post!

Well, DUmmy, nutcase nadin's fashion sense, like all her senses, is vastly superior to that of anyone else at the DUmp.
The problem is that American boutiques, unlike the more elegant ones in mexico, refuse to inventory sophisticated couture for bald dwarfs.
As one who advocates for bald dwarfs, that refusal has caused nadin to develop a negative attitude on the subject.
I, for one, would love to see nadin draped in that tie-dye beach towel the First Wookie wore to the dinner last night.
Four feet tall, three hundred pounds, with the hairline of a seventy-year-old man - in an evening gown.
Now that would be a memorable sight.
I can't see any comparison between the wookieyeti, and Jackie O.

important enough to go and shit all over someone's thread--just for the sake of shitting on it--no point to be made. Then at least wo/man up and leave your shit there for everyone to see. Don't be a coward and delete the crap you dumped all over the place.
That is all.

above caring about those types things they were pretty much beneath her, and to insult those who were commenting. It was a cowardice move to delete the comments. She had her say, dealt her insults and then erased the evidence.
There was no need for the condescending attitude to begin with. It was totally classless all the way around, from the comments to the deleting of them. This wasn't one of those cases where deleting was the best course of action. IMO.

collects her 'stalkers'. One can't act like that and not expect retaliation. Those that aren't aware of her behavior will see her as a victim, which explains the self-deletes. O's deletion of all of his posts was a statement that many of us understood.

But I guess it really reflects the abuser's character. Be rude and dismissive to others, get a reaction and then delete it so it can't be used against you. What a squirelly, chickenshit thing to do. That's just Nads, live with it.

She can't delete other people's posts and she can hardly call her own words a personal attack. If enough people do this, it may put an end to it.
That is an ugly dress. I wonder how much us tax payers paid for it?
It is also cool to see Nadin's own people turn on her. I wish they would do it more.
That is the ugliest f-ing dress I have ever seen. I could buy a prettier dress at Walmart. That's been Mooshelle's theme all along. Really expensive/garish outfits than any Walmart shopper could outshine.
Let's start a pool on the price of that dress. Can we factor in the travel costs to Spain to shop for it ?
I'm going to say it was $4,000.

I have never given two shits about the clothing worn by any POTUS or his family whether they were Dem or Rep. It does help illustrate that Marxism and all its variants are nothing more than repackaged feudalism. Rather than monarchs who rule with an iron fist over serfs you get elites who rule with an iron fist over proles. Deep down inside the DUmmies want to get down on their knees and worship their cult of personality figureheads.Perfectly stated, but I do plead guilty to criticizing Hillary for her pantsuits. Most women get a little more rotund post-menopause, but geez, put on a skirt and heels now and then instead of trying to look so androgynous.
On a side note, the fashion industry is faker than pro wrestling.
put on a skirt and heels now and then instead of trying to look so androgynous. There may be a reason for that.

OH YAH Johnny my dear, there are allot of woman that never looked that good.
Only picture I have seen of Hillery where she looks young and happy, and attractive.
Head out to Wallmart with this picture in hand or go to the local beach and check out the woman the age Hillery was when the Photo was taken. What was she , somewhere in her forties ????
Now take pictures of woman that age and try to imagine them wearing Hillery's swim suit, --[ no fair if you live in NYC or LA where the woman at 80 get body make overs every year and look 35 years old. ]
I think Mrs Obama would look better in soild colors, but that is my opinion
She should wear a mumu or whatever those dresses are called that fat people wear.
Now with PIC goodness. For the last couple of days the DUmmies have been drooling over the first wookies wardrobe. I know it has been said that beauty is is in the eye of the beholder but MO is not a pretty woman, I don't care what she wears.
It looks like she grabbed the curtains off the rail and threw them on.
