The shocking rates of infant mortality and cancer in Iraqi city raise new questions about battle
Dramatic increases in infant mortality, cancer and leukaemia in the Iraqi city of Fallujah, which was bombarded by US Marines in 2004, exceed those reported by survivors of the atomic bombs that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, according to a new study.Iraqi doctors in Fallujah have complained since 2005 of being overwhelmed by the number of babies with serious birth defects, ranging from a girl born with two heads to paralysis of the lower limbs. They said they were also seeing far more cancers than they did before the battle for Fallujah between US troops and insurgents.
That's just a snip, there is a lot more at the link. I say tough shit, you bring the fight, you take the lumps.

19. I wonder if there are any birth defects among the American soldiers who use these weapons?
nadinbrzezinski
24. Wait twenty years for that to become a scandal
but the short answer is yes.

26. Gulf war syndrome
To be exact, but yes.
And I can tell you right now one of the excuses...but they volunteered!
I spent a total of 26 months in and around Kuwait, before, during, and after the gulf war. I have never met another serviceman that claimed Gulf War Syndrome symptoms. It seems like it only affects the National Guard, I wonder why that is?

This was a subtle dig. jwirr is calling our fighting men defective.

And nearly all of them are unemployed, badly in need of money, and working with a contingency fee ambulance chaser.
Gulf War Syndrome is another imaginary cash cow in the grand tradition of Agent Orange, Alar, and PCBs.

Of course we treated Fallujah like a free fire zone you moron. We spent two days with big speakers telling everyone that wasn't Taloban to get out of town because we were about to blow the place back to the stone age.
When we rolled into Fallujah all that was left there was Taliban fighters of the Madhi Army.
When we rolled out all that was normal Iraqi citizens.

I'm surprised they haven't rerun that claim of depleted uranium rounds causing all of this. Then again it's only a matter of time before the lawyers jump in over these claims.

Actually, implying that was the whole point of this thread at the DUmp.
It's just as bogus as the Agent Orange scam.

We should have used a tactical nuke on Fallujah anyway, better for us, better for them.

Yeah, Fallujah, a bunch of dead muzzies, who gives a shit?

1. How come it isn't Zarqawi's fault for holing up in Fallujah.
He wasn't Iraqi. Al Qaeda is not a legitimate movement.
So why isn't it his fault?
2. Are they saying we killed less than 1500 people in Hiroshima?
3. I'm calling bullshit.
We used no weapons other than typical conventional weapons. If our weapons caused it every soldier and every country with our soldiers (including the US) would have similar conditions.
They suck at this game.

I did know a guy on Active Duty that suffered from some symptoms of Gulf War Syndrome. He said they were unconfortable, but manageable. He thought it was the result of chemical agents that were accidently released when our SOF destroyed a large Iraqi weapons dump not far from him.

My uncle has unexplained medical issues that he never had until he came home from over there.
He certainly does not need the money he makes over 6 figures a year in his job so he doesn't need the money.

No one needs money, but, like Joe Louis, it can have a calming effect on your nerves.
