3. The Straight Story posted a GBCW in the Hosts Forum on April 16...
But no one has asked about Bobbolink in quite some time.
Suffice it to say, Nads of Arc has not posted a GBCW in quite some time.

It looks to me as if somebody's been lurking, and grabbed this idea from the latest poll posted here.
Not to worry; franksolich takes a census of the primitives every day, to see what's going on.
It's part of the job, looking over the inventory.

Stepping down as a GD host and as a poster here
Won't be posting this elsewhere but wanted to here.
Time to move on I guess. Personal reasons as well as reasons relating to the site in general as of late. Didn't want to put this in H&M as there is no need for discussion on it and felt it better to post here as I will no longer be hosting.
Thanks to all my friends here over the years who have been here for me and I plan on reading DU as I have since shortly after it's inception.
DU3 has simply outgrown me perhaps. Maybe it is just me. I don't know.
I no longer find any joy in posting here. Skinner has eased that somewhat of late with his clarifications on posting but the damage is done I suppose. What once used to be somewhat simple and fun and easy now seems tedious. Between the juries and alerts posting now seems more like a minefield than an enjoyable pastime to me.
What was once fun no longer is. The joy I used to feel in posting has been removed and replaced by a feeling of apprehension and tension. Again - maybe it is just me and where I am in my life. I guess I just don't feel comfortable anymore contributing to this site like I once did.
And if I can't post here I have no business being a host either.
This is The Straight Story signing off and retiring as a host and poster - but I will still be voting Dem come election day and hope you all will be as well.

He's been the whipping boy of choice for the past couple of weeks in H&M I've noticed. His posting on FR has generated almost as much fury as the Barbie's Playhouse meltdown (Feminist forum) but there's still time to catch up!
A new target should be emerging soon, this one appears to be all but played out.

Nobody posts about Bobbolink anymore because they (or many) think she was a troll/mole now. I've gotten a few PMs to my various spies about the late nonlamented Hobo. Hell, they are so paranoid they think about everyone is a mole/troll anymore. It will get worse the closer to the election.
All part of the VRWC plot to infiltrate, disorganize, and discombobulate los DUmpmonkiez.
(Even heard that Skinner could be a shill for the VRWC!)

If that's the case (which it obviously is), for purposes of transparency I need to swear on the Head of St. John the Baptist that:
(a) the sparkling old dude is not franksolich's mole.
(b) the mineral oil primitive is not franksolich's mole.
(c) Lucinda is not franksolich's mole.
(d) Pedro Picasso, the "Atman" primitive, is not franksolich's mole.
(e) grouchy old Don, the "NNNH0LI" or whatever the Hell it is, primitive, is not franksolich's mole.
(f) &c., &c., &c., are not franksolich's mole.

I probably gave the MIRT primitives too much information there--allowing them to detect franksolich's mole by process of elimination--but I don't want the DUmpster to lose some of its best inventory.
