Justice wanted (2,252 posts)
Would I embarrass my friend?
I have a friend who is debuting his Drag Queen Persona in the area. He will be at this event and I (female-straight) wanted to go and support him but I was told by someone else that I would not be welcomed at said event and that I would make an ass out of myself.
You're worried about a drag queen being embarrassed by YOU? What a shithead. (http://www.democraticunderground.com/113710437)
Typical homo-hounding responses.

I don't know anything about these kinds of things but I would say that she should wear a dark 3-piece suit and necktie.
-
Just go and have a good time.

Mc Mike
1. Maybe ask your friend personally, instead
of asking that other person, who seems to be a bit negative.
I recall 2 movies where there were straights and gays in the crowd enjoying the shows. ('Torch Song Trilogy', and 'La Cage Aux Folles'.)
Well, I recall a movie too--Dressed To Kill--where Angie Dickinson was killed by a cross-dressing Michael Caine. So don't go, Justice wanted, or you'll probably die just like Angie Dickinson did. If real life is like the movies, anyway.
-
I'd be pretty sure that I would embarrass the x-dresser. Either way, I'd have a good time and laugh a lot.
-
I would never be a cross dresser. The main reason being that I would make the ugliest woman you ever seen.

I actually like one movie where there were both straight and homo's and it also starred Susan Sarandon. The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

That's crap, it starred Meat Loaf. Sarandon was a co star at best.

Doesn't she kinda have it backwards?

Well, as my profile looks as if it came off the nickel, I could probably give one helluva competition!
-
The only thing that may embarrass the cross dressing friend is if the OP is a furry and goes in costume.
-
Well, this is a predicament poor Marta gets into, every time she accompanies the big guy to one function or another, and he's dressed up in a costume.

The point is a man in drag will never look or sound like a real woman. Justice's mere presence will remind the faggots that they are living a lie, so of course real women will not be welcome.
Besides gay events like a drag debut are always about deviant sex, and again she would not be welcome.
If Justice wants to support her "friend" do so from a professional environment, like work. There is no reason to further the association into private life. It's best to limit any dealings with the insane outside of asylums.
