Climate change could lead to an outbreak of 'killer cornflakes' an environmental health conference has been told.
Growing numbers of cereals such as corn and rye are being attacked by a fungus which thrives in hot and damp weather accelerated by global warming.
If the harmful mycotoxins are eaten in large quantities they can cause liver failure and lead to death, Australian researcher Lisa Bricknell said.

Sounds like they're talking about alfatoxin. It's been around for as long as I can remember.....even during the coming ice age of the 50's-60's when we were supposed to all freeze to death if we didn't do something soon yada-yada-yada.
