Post by: CG6468 on April 23, 2012, 02:15:17 PM
A Los Angeles native, he had a long career on radio and in films. He had a scene stealing portrayal of a character on a popular TV series, although he started his acting career on a radio show that became a TV series. He suffered a massive stroke and had trouble using his arms and legs, after which he was he was always seen either close-up or sitting down.

Who the heck is/was this actor?  :???:

His name was Howard McNear. McNear started his career in radio, where he played Doc Adams in "Gunsmoke" for many years.
