Are Wheat Thins sweeter than they used to be?

Sorry if this is crazy but...

I always, always loved Wheat Thins... since I was a little girl. I like salty snacks a lot, in general -- more than sweet ones.

It seems Wheat Thins have gotten sweeter and sweeter over the years, until now they're practically a cookie. (Eat a Triscuit and then a Wheat Thin and you'll see what I mean.)

Are my taste buds changing as I age, or have Wheat Thins changed since I was a kid?

1. Is corn syrup an ingredient?

I thought the same thing when a had a bowl of Raisin Bran. It tasted way sweeter than it used to. Sure enough there was the corn syrup.

2. I've thought the same thing myself. Use to love em but not any more.

3. Funny you should ask.

I recently bought a box of whole wheat wheat thins and also thought they were much sweeter than I recalled.

Too sweet, actually.

4. Everything is too sweet.

I avoid sugar. One of the only tolerances I can take is angel food cake. And maybe a jaw breaker. But seriously...

5. Nope, you not crazy I agree completely. And another item is Planter Dry Roasted Peanuts

I purchased some the other week but got the unsalted by mistake. They were okay but picked up the regulat ones and had some today and they are sweet. Just checked the label and it has dried corn syrup, sugar etc listed. I think I'm going back to the unsalted ones.

Yep, its a crazy conservative conspiracy to fatten you all up so that you are much slower and easier to catch during the revolution.

Plus it props up the "Big Sugar" industry.

Nucking Futs.

It's not that snack foods are sweeter. It's that these snacks are LESS salty. Thank you president 0bama and your busy body wife.

The food hasn't become sweeter at all. Its level of sweetness is constant

These moonbat women have just become far more bitter, so the delta has increased.

I suspect they started noticing all this artificial sweetness on that glorious day when W was appointed president by the Supreme Court fascists.

Wow, is there anything Karl Rove won't do to piss off the DUmmies?  I didn't know he had a hand in selecting the ingredients for Wheat Thins.
