I had some free time this evening, so I decided to drive down to Bellevue to see if there were any interesting running trails near their Olde Towne area. :whistling: It was my first time to Olde Towne, and I'll be honest, it was nothing like I expected. It was a very run down looking bit of Bellevue with no stores that I was interested in enough to park and walk around. I expected a cute little commercial district with boutiques or nice little stores, and what I found was a bike store, a coin shop, an old theater, an antique store, and a Mexican restaurant. From what I could see, it is a very tiny bit of Ward 1, and probably not the priority of most the citizens of Bellevue. It is just a few blocks that have seen better days.
I also took a look at political signs in the grass, and there were quite a few. Most of them seemed to be for Scott Houghtaling and Steven Carmichael. I did not see any for Steve Dawes.
Unfortunately, I did not find a good running trail and ended up back in Omaha for my evening run. I did end up paying 2 dollars for the Bellevue toll bridge (1 dollar each way) when I took a wrong turn.

Thanks for the update!!

Are you sure it wasn't a troll bridge ? SteveDawes could have been under it.

Isn't it amazing how Conservative Cave, a website with on 16 posters, seems to have eyes everywhere ?
Boggles the mind... :whatever:

Myself being far from Omaha, I'm wondering about something the press doesn't seem to be covering.
The "big" issue, really, seems to be something--whatever it is--between the two (R) candidates, which can split the (R) vote. I wonder what it is.
This is probably what the big guy is hoping, that the (R) vote gets split badly enough so the big guy can waddle into second place in the primary, and get on the ballot in November.
And perhaps the thinking of the (L) candidate too.
Whatever the two (R) candidates are fighting over is the issue, whatever the issue is.

I suspect the big guy's yard-signs are still at the printer, "cash on delivery," and alas for the big guy because he spend all that money on his superduper television set some months ago, he's got no money.

That money was long gone, spent before he got it.

Yes, just like we single handedly made his site disappear from Google.
-
When you get right down to it, why would yard signs be needed when you have an informative and well designed web site like:

Oh, yes, the pledges were pouring in from all over the country.
But his creepathon was not good at all in converting moonbat pledges into moonbat bucks.
A sincere pledge from a deadbeat will not pay a printer. The big guy can't run a campaign on Wimpy burger bucks.
For a while, it seemed that the crazy bald dwarf, or maybe Sherlock Judy, would take over managing his campaign, but that's tough to do when you're a thousand miles away and dumber than a fence post.
