A lesson from LBJ in how to smash an opponent.

Legend has it that LBJ, in one of his early congressional campaigns, told one of his aides to spread the story that Johnson's opponent ****ed pigs. The aide responded "Christ, Lyndon, we can't call the guy a pig****er. It isn't true." To which LBJ supposedly replied "Of course it ain't true, but I want to make the son-of-a-bitch deny it."
Today's Democrats could learn a lesson from this. The Repukes did.
See: http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/archives/individual/2006_09/009566.php or run this through the Google machine: "Lyndon Johnson" pig quote deny
Yet they ridicule our references to Alinsky (http://www.democraticunderground.com/1002579626)
I know what let's do...let's come up with a story that Obama is a mother****in' DOG EATER! Make that bastard deny THAT!!
Oh, really? Wow. OK, nevermind.

Yeah, he had to kill a Kennedy or two just to get on the playing field.
