Why do so many people assume a billionaire is deserving of everything he has...?
...but a welfare mother or a poor person is not deserving of anything?
It is puzzling to me how some folks begrudge the needy and the very poor but will defend the billionaire to their last breath?
It is "fair" to give another taxbreak to a millionaire but it is not fair to give an increase in food stamps to a poor family?
I cannot understand how these people's brains are wired??

Yeah us crazy people believe that if someone earns something it belongs to them, not to 0bama to redistribute as he sees fit.

1. it gets worse
more often than not they call themselves CHRISTIANS
And more often than not, they donate to the poor whether through the church or charities both religious based and secular.
What I can't figure out is how anyone who calls themself a Christian could possibly be pro choice.
left on green only
5. I have wondered the same question myself.
The best I can come up with is that they are just like the people who will vote against their own self interest, every time. It's because in their minds they need to keep the dream alive that some day they will also join the ranks of the 1%. Which I suppose is the same reason why most people who play the lottery are so willing to throw away what little money they have.
Imagine if there were no lotteries because there are no people who are willing to squander their money on participating in them. Yes, I know. It's right up there with the idea of world peace.
Sorry junior, my self interests are not having the government take from someone else to give to me.

8. Race Is Also A Major Factor
The attitude that the poor are un-deserving is unique to Americans and unlike those in any other industrialized nation. A citizen in an European nation is treated with much higher economic dignity than here in the U.S.
The big difference here is race. Americans associate poor with Black and Hispanic, and they associate billionaire with being White. So, when you tax the rich, you are taxing White people and giving it to Black people. See Santorum's "Blahh" quote.
It tends to be democrats who make the poor = black argument.
I just can't understand the mindset that one is owed just for being alive. I'm not opposed to the poor being helped, I am opposed to people making a living out of collecting government benefits and never working a day in their life.

Hey DUmmies, why do you guys want to be poor?
Unlike other times and other countries in history, our population is very mobile in terms of where they are income-wise.
People are always moving in and out of income brackets. Except you guys who work so hard at being poor all the time. And now you are complaining about the fruits of your labor?

Libs have really been successful at disassociating themselves from their legalized theft at the threat of force. Contemplation of taking from a billionaire is just a mere nuisance to the libs.

Why do so many people assume they deserve someone else's wealth?

What? Most Hispanics are here to work, even the illegals according to the DUmmies. Yavin must be a racist and hates the Hispanics.

Why do so many people assume they deserve someone else's wealth?
Cause they can't have it.

Uh, sorry, no. Arte Moreno is the owner of the Anaheim Angels (I refuse to call them the LA Angels, sorry Arte.) The guy is currently worth over a billion dollars. You know where he got his money? No, he didn't inherit it. He was one of 11 kids in a 2 bedroom house. He didn't win the lottery. He's a Vietnam veteran. He didn't graduate college until he was 27. You want to know, DUmmies?
HE ****ING WORKED FOR IT. BUSTED HIS ASS. HAD A GOAL AND MADE IT HAPPEN. IOW, while I don't know the guy's politics, he's the total antithesis of you.
I couldn't give a shit if the Walton family was black, Bill Gates was Hispanic, or Warren Buffet were Asian--and for the record, according to Forbes, the richest man in the world is Mexican (Carlos Slim Helu.) Likewise, I don't give a shit what color the leeches in society might be, leeches need plucked, and in the case of human leeches, turned into productive members of society so that their children do not also become leeches. See how that works, kids?

We have a person at work that emigrated from Africa. He and his wife are now u.s. citizens. He is from Togo. He told us that there are poor black people in africa too. They won't go to school or work hard. His words not mine. Oh, and he considers himself an American. Not a African American.

25. Fantasy land.
They buy into the idea that America is 'fair' and if you 'work hard' you too can be rich, just like the people in charge want you to believe just keep working that crappy job while they don't give you a real raise and cut your benefits/pension if you even had them.
IF you are rich you must have worked hard and earned everything you got, including the right to not pay taxes cause you earned every single dollar of your millions made through work, investments, etc. BUT if you are poor you don't deserve anything, not from other people and shoudn't even be allowed to not pay income tax despite being poor. Nevermind that being poor you have less to spend on the basics of life and still have to pay taxes like sales, state, etc you should be contributing to the nation's war chest where we spend out country's money on killing people.
Flashback to high school jp11. You are working in a group on a project, except the teacher tells you that you are the only one out of the four in the group that has to work. The other three have things going on in their lives and just aren't up to it. You bust your ass on the project and the entire group gets the A. You feel great about that because you know you don't deserve to get sole credit for all the work. That would be very un-Christian like. So what if you saw those other students goofing off after school with their friends. The teacher told you that you are doing the work for everyone, so you will. Fair is fair right?
