Melissa Etheridge’s Ex: I Can’t Live On $23K A Month
Twenty grand a month or so probably sounds like a nice payout to most average divorcees out there. However, Melissa Etheridge's ex-partner, Tammy Lynn Michaels, isn't one of them. The 37-year-old former actress has filed documents claiming she cannot survive on the $23,000 Etheridge is granting her monthly in child and spousal support.
So, how much money does Michaels need, exactly? Well, according to the paperwork, she explains she became accustomed to a monthly budget of $128,000 during her nearly 9-year relationship with the iconic rocker. Etheridge and Michaels
Michaels also noted that she "has limited income and virtually no savings," while Etheridge "has extensive resources at her disposal and a tremendous earning capacity."
The couple weathered an acrimonious split in April 2010 and share custody of their 5-year-old twins--daughter Johnnie Rose and son Miller. Michaels' most recent court filing also seeks to reduce Etheridge's custodial time with the children, claiming that Etheridge is teaching them to be "distant and withdrawn" to her.

My mind reels at these figures.

4. I'm with you. I never think I could be accustomed to a lifestyle where I was spending 120K a month.
nt
Liar liar, pants on fire.

If you look at all the warthog bull dyke celebrities, it's pretty clear they're after the same thing men are: hot thin blonde with big tanks.
Sorry, Melissa, open up that leathery old...purse of yours and cough up the dough.
-
I can't fathom spending 120k a month. Apparently someone likes to spend money?
-
This must be one of those "rights" I keep hearing about.
You wanted to get married, now you get to play by the same rules as everyone else. Pay up.
-
Aren't you happy though ?
You fought for gay marriage in California, protested against 'proposition hate' , & now you've got gay divorce. Gotta take the good with the bad, I'm afraid...

It's a victory!

I don't think they even got married, I think they only had a commitment ceremony.
-
If you want "IT", you have to pay for "IT" and that stuff is expensive....just ask some of the fellows here....hell, ask me.
...and the wedding was so touching... :bawl:... :bawl:... :lmao: Suffer damn you.

a monthly budget of $128,000 during her nearly 9-year relationship
That's more than $4,000 a DAY.
I'm waiting for the DUmmies to tell us how bad rich people are. Go ahead, you guys. I'll wait.
-
Hell Givens got more than that after being married to Mike Tyson for less than a yr. I think she got 8 million or there abouts

Some of the poor guys I get to work with, married 2 or 3 times, would be better off just meeting some gal, buying them a house, give them half their savings and save on the lawyer bills.
-

You're right - It seems they had the commitment ceremony, they fought against Proposition 8, and the relationship fell apart before it could be overturned & they could 'fully' marry.
Hopefully they learned something from this - Behaving like a primitive ruins relationships. - But judging from the bitching over a 'mere' 23K a month, it seems that at least half of the former couple is still a primitive at heart.
Hopefully Melissa smartened up.

Is this the same woman that was married to Loud Diamond Phillips? If so what happened to her money from that divorce?
-
Man, I could have blown the doors off Masters week with that kind of jack.
-
With her former, former ex they used David Crosby as the sperm donor. This time they chose an anonymous donor from a sperm bank.

No, Julie Cypher was the 1 that left Lou Diamond Phillips for Melissa, but Julie and Melissa broke up when Julie started questioning her being a lesbian, and Julie is now married to a man.
-
Man, I could have blown the doors off Masters week with that kind of jack.
Amen to that, not to mention having a little left over too travel to the British Open.
I think I could live quite nicely on 23K a month as well.

Julie and Melissa broke up when Julie started questioning her being a lesbian
Melissa probably makes a lot of lesbians question being a lesbian.

For 128 thou a month....I could be a lesbian for awhile.

but Julie and Melissa broke up when Julie started questioning her being a lesbian,
She didn't know this beforehand?

Your choices are Rosie O'Donnell or Chaz Bozo.
-
Damn 1 percenters. :-)
-
She didn't know this beforehand?
Maybe she was just curious, but after a few years maybe she saw a guy and thought :naughty:. I have no idea how that works, I don't look at other women that way LOL.
-

In those cases I would be strictly straight....and running like hell.

Reminds me of part of the reason Norm McDonald got fired from SNL (he wasn't a liberal hack):
And in entertainment news, Ellen DeGeneres and lover Anne Heche have announced that they want to have a baby. However, their plan has hit a snag. They are both women! ... [applause] It's - It is not possible to - have a child.

So could I. Oh wait--I already am.

A dyed-in-the-wool moonbat like her, seriously? She'll probably be smart enough to pre-nup the next live-in carpet cleaner, though.

My uncle who has been married 7 times does this...meets a woman in a bar and marries her, builds a nice house and within a year they are divorced and he gives her the house.....IDIOT! :lmao: He hasn't learned that he should just not build a damn house and he won't get divorced.
-
I don't think they even got married, I think they only had a commitment ceremony.
They couldn't get married even if some moonbat state allowed it. The feds say no. They can't claim married filling (whatever) on fed tax returns.

And even Don't Ask Don't Tell was not an Obama victory. The case had been winding its way through the courts before Obama signed the repeal in December 2010. And while he signed it, he delayed implementation of the decision citing military readiness concerns. In July 2011 famous 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (http://www.utsandiego.com/news/2011/jul/06/federal-court-decision-ends-dont-ask-dont-tell-now/) ordered an end to DADT, but had to suspend its ruling to give Obama time to have his televised hearings (with John McCain as a foil). In the end, Obama got the credit, but the courts lit a fire under his ass. The gay activists know this and they were not thrilled with the credit he took.
