Spent my Easter weekend the best way I can imagine. Branding a small bunch with good horses and good help.
Daughter is up on the bay. I'm riding the paint, just standing around.

Here it just looks like I'm sitting around some more, but I'm sure I'm telling the rest of the crew something important.

My hat took off with a gust of wind on Saturday and landed in a stock pond. Sunday I rode out and found it with another of the crew. Lucky, lucky.

The boss, who we all really listen to. Or, his dogs really listen and we just smile politely.

Great pics, LV! Thanks for that glimpse into your life!

That's awesome! How much land do you have?

In the pic with your hubby one of the ranch foremen look like they are missing something.

Don't own any. Lease a bunch. That place has 15,800 acres and three of us lease it and run cattle for ourselves and others.

I don't have one of those either (hubby's), and haven't tried leasing one. That might work!

My most humble apologies. In todays world of what is it up to now 16 different sexes I shouldn't have assumed.
It does look like in the pic one of the dogs is missing a tail.

No apology needed. I'm as ordinary as can be, just not married.
Anyway, that dog's name is "Stubby," so it's just as well he is sans tail or the boss would have to think up another name. And he's probably too busy.

To have the dog's tail replaced would cost thousands. And that's too much money for a piece of tail.
