1. YES! I wish Foxnews would get the same treatment.

2. Can they take back his 350 million?
That was just one contract.
How the hell does a radio host make that much? and that isn't a career total, just ONE contract.
Well let me explain it to you DUmmy, Rush has actually been successful. He didn't sit in his parent's basement smoking dope and eating cheetos, he went out and chased his dream to be on a radio, while doing so he invented a format that others have copied. By doing so he has made a shit ton of money for other people through advertising, since his service is so valuable he gets that big paycheck.

3. I really hope Limbaugh made a lot of very bad investments and loses it all. n/t
Bush being charged for war crimes has just as much a chance of happening as that. In other words DUmmy, aint gonna happen.

12. His numbers are suspect. He compulsively lies about everything including his ratings. I believe
they've always been low.
Welcome to DU!
:lmao: Yeah not everyone can bring em in like Keef does. :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

16. And Things Could Get Even Worse For Rushbo...
Nonetheless, the move is likely to gain attention because Mr. Limbaugh’s show has been under scrutiny lately. On Monday, a new competitor, “The Mike Huckabee Show,†started broadcasting nationally in Mr. Limbaugh’s noon-to-3 p.m. time slot
The Hucklenutz show is being produced by Cumulus Radio...who own several of rushbo's biggest stations, including WABC in New York and WLS in Chicago.
There's also been a big hit on hate talk radio overall as advertisers are avoiding rushbo stations altogether...and this starting to take a toll. The timing couldn't be worse as it occured during the lean first quarter when advertising revenues are their lowest and they're not bouncing back.
Poor DUmmies still think that Rush is toast.
-
If they think that losing one station out of 100+ is going to make a difference, they are more stupid than I thought they were.
-
He should have said a "former" major Philadelphia radio station.
Whichever Phillie station steps in will become the current major Philadelphia station.
Rush is on over 600 stations.
-
In a media market that big, the only thing keeping another station from picking it up would be the pricetag, not the projected audience size.
-
Rush will also outlive a majority of the DUmb asses that want him to die so badly.

He's already outlived quite a few of them.
-
This just in!!!!!
Major Philadelphia radio station working hard on becoming minor Philadelphia radio station. Maybe they can pick up ErrAmerica and make some real money.
-
Oh but this from the article they're all excited about
But Premiere has indicated that it will be moving Mr. Limbaugh to a new station in Philadelphia. Radio-Info.com reported on Monday that it might be WKDN, a Christian programming station that is expected to be turned into a news-talk station soon.
To the untrained eye,(which would include the DUmmies) it would appear to be a step down for “The Rush Limbaugh Show.†WKDN, with a 38,000-watt signal, is a smaller station than WPHT, which has a 50,000-watt signal. But WKDN is an FM station, while WPHT is an AM station, and Premiere has shown interest in moving its talk radio shows over to FM stations lately.
This move has been planned for awhile, they're moving to a FM station with a clearer static free signal that dosen't have the interference problems of AM. Now people in office buildings will be able to get Rush much easier.
-
Poor Rush, how does he mange to get by?
-
This has legs. Rush is toast.
-
Poor Rush, how does he mange to get by?
Obviously, by lying about his ratings and the number of stations his show is on!
If only Err America had thought of that, they could have stolen less from charities.
-
A radio station here recently started carrying Ed Schultz's show (I didn't even know he had one), so I tuned in. Every single commercial, sans one, was a PSA. The one commercial that was not a PSA? Oh, it was for a firm like Goldline. God, these people are mental midgets.
-
God, these people are mental midgets.
Well, they're definitely mental, you've got that part right for sure.

Without Rush Limbaugh there may not be any AM radio.
-
Rush and Premiere are mocving his show to an FM station. Rush is being replaced by that idiot Michael Smerconish.
Wanna bet which station is gonna see a jump in ratings and more importantly advertising $$$$ on a clearer...stronger FM signal?
-
It will be just like a station I listened to that dropped a popular morning show for another one.
Within a week, the dropped show was back on in that market, on 2 stations. :lmao:

Dummie all giddy with excitement, "OH GLORY! The first domino has fallen, Rush is doomed."....a few weeks later, "Oh whoa is me, the first domino has fallen ...against a brick wall."
-
I thought this thread would be about Mike Huckabee getting his own radio show. I thought it was kind of strange them cheering another right-winger getting his own radio show, but that's what passes for logic over there. :bs:

I was a fan of Michael Smerconish for a while. Then he pulled a hard left a la Little Green Footballs to appeal to his rich lefty Philly friends. He wrote a great book about Daniel Faulkner's killer, Mumia Abu Jamal.

It is about damn time the radio talk shows go to FM. AM drives me nuts as on a car radio reception depends on what ever the atmosphere is doing at the time, same at home with cheap radio set we have.
To me AM is great for local coverage of local programs, weather in the area, local farm reports, and local news.
As a kid for some reason WWVA Wheeling West Virgina would come in clear as a bell all the way up here in the North on Sunday nights. Lately Coast to Coast and Art Bell came in around 2-3 AM on the car radio as I drove to work, LOVED that show, made me laugh before work. After work Howie Carr gave me a chuckle on the way home if the darn radio could pick it up. Boston is only 50 miles away but on AM it had problems with the static.
-
Oh for God's sake. They go on for 30-odd posts hootin and hollerin, jumping up and down, high-fiving, etc. Finally someone throws a blanket on the fire by pointing out the movement to FM, quoted above. Idiots.

I used to listen to him too, Splash. Can't stand hearing him for even a minute these last several years. I've listened to Bill Bennett on NewsTalk 990 on my way to work for the last few years, Rick Santorum would always do the Friday morning show.

In my proessional opinion it's a last ditch effort to stem the tide of people switching to satellite radio and webcasts of the same show. Either of which provide better quality and in the case of satellite...stereo quality sound of the shows.
Talk radio on a national level is done on terrestrial radio (traditional radio signals) if Rush every makes the jump to Sirius/XM. Hannity and Levin are already there...it's just a matter of time...probably when the latest contract Rush has with Premiere expires...his new deal will include a simulcast of his show on Patriot 123.
-
I wonder if Rush is ging on suicide watch over this? :rotf: Stupid DUmmies .
-
Ironically, if it WEREN'T for Rush, AM radio would have died by the early 90's in the first place.
-
I find Rush so damn sexy. :naughty:
-
A Seattle station dropped Rush a while back.......now it's an oldies station.

Oh me too! And Mark Levin. I like listening to Glenn Beck on occasion but he's kinda like the right's own Emo kid. But a little emo isn't bad once in a while, I even like My Chemical Romance and Death Cab for Cutie. But mostly on ironing days because I hate ironing.

I like Glenn for his humor and compelling essays but sometimes he can be an alarmist too much and I tire of it. Hannity just drives me nuts the way he interrupts all the time and says the same thing over and over and over and over.......
Rush just blows me away with his mindblowing thinking. Gah.....He is truly an example where the man's mind overrides the looks department. I would be so happy with him :panic:

I also read on the Enquirer that Kathryn was pregnant with a UFO baby. :whatever:
