2. omg. I just finished listening to this
wow. Wallace's treatment of Sanger is disgusting.
I would think that hostility towards a racist would be approved at DU.

It's too bad it was such a hostile interview. She was really something.
The right wing today is still using these same tired old "talking points" today, and they still not only have no data to support them, but deny the existence of all the data that contradicts them.
I should have known the right wing made up all that stuff about her wanting to kill off the offspring of the undesirables. I bet you Rush dreamed that up while high on Percocet. :whatever:
enough
5. Fascinating. What a hero she was. (nt)
And yet Hitler was a monster for his eugenics practices. :mental:
Quantess
6. Margaret Sanger never gets a fair shake.
She is much maligned.
Damn right wing assholes who dare shine the light on her racism.
Hey DUmmies from wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Margaret_Sanger
Sanger was opposed to abortions, both because they were dangerous for the mother, and because she believed that life should not be terminated after conception. In her book Woman and the New Race, she wrote, "while there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

One thing you will never, ever see in this world - left wing eugenicists leading by example by killing themselves.

Freeper, did you listen to the whole thing? I just didn't have the patience. If so, I'd love to get the Cliffs note version.

No, I didn't bother I just read the DUmmy thread and reposted it. :-)

They're praising a woman who said this?
On blacks, immigrants and indigents:
"...human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning... human beings who never should have been born." Margaret Sanger, Pivot of Civilization, referring to immigrants and poor people

Made up right wing lies, didn't you read the thread? :lmao:

human weeds,' 'reckless breeders,' 'spawning'
I can't sign up for the weed part, but two out of three isn't bad.

I doubt they know she was married to a big oil guy and was a so called 1%. :lmao: :lmao:

Mike Wallace lures Margaret Sanger into a Philip Morris cigarette habit.

The more I read the DUmp the more I am leaning toward thinking that Sanger was on to something. Not for their arguments for infanticde but because of them.
-
Gotta love the DUmmies openly singing the praises of a racist eugenicist beast.

Only six comments.
Some time ago, I found a thread buried on page 6 over there, about Sanger. A credentialed academician joined in, and pointed out some FACTS (yes, facts, DUmmies) about Sanger, her life and views. The comments that followed were a little shell-shocked. Then, it seemed to turn into "ix-nay, ix-nay. Let the thread fall off the page."

we do not want word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members." ---On The Negro Project, Margaret Sanger
She was right. They're being exterminated and none of the rebellious members are saying anything, other than fighting for the right to continue aiding their extermination.
BTW, if the right was so racist, wouldn't we be cheering it on? Wouldn't Sanger be one of our heroes?
