The Obama administration is blaming Israel for the recent rise in global crude oil prices, says its "posturing" on Iran brought the rise.
The Obama administration is blaming Israel for the recent rise in global crude oil prices, according to a Sunday report in The World Tribune. The rise in fuel prices is deemed as harming the U.S. economy and has also hurt Obama in the polls as he seeks re-election in November.
The report cited a leading U.S. analyst, Robert Satloff, who returned from talks with Israeli officials.
Satloff, executive director of the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, said, according to The World Tribune, that the Israeli leadership saw Washington as attributing the higher gas prices to “Israel’s posturing†on Iran.
“They think the Iranians should be held responsible for the higher gasoline prices,†Satloff was quoted as having said.
He added that the officials told him the Obama administration was staging a campaign to undermine Israel.
More at link. If this was anyone other than a sitting president's administration, I would post it in Mind Numbing Stupidity. But here it is. How stupid can one man be?

Didn't some German leader also blame the Jews for many of his country problems? :-)
-
So what I'm getting here is, George W. Bush is getting a lot less blame from owebuma, or does owebuma equate Bush and Israel ?
-
So back to blaming the "Joooooooos".... :whatever:

Didn't some other totalitarian Socialist/Fascist leader also blame the Jews for many of his country problems? :-)
Fixed. If you want to know how I can amalgamate the two ideologies, by all means, ask. ...because that's EXACTLY what we have and it the same thing Hitler had. Private companies were in good favor of Hitler so long as the produced exactly what he wanted. Hmm, who does that sound like?

Wow, I didn't notice that thread until now. Thanks Chris!

I'm doubting more and more that it's stupidity that's driving him. He knows what he's doing and he's doing stuff like this on purpose.

Abso-effin'-lutely. He knows what he is doing--and it is deliberate.

Obama is a douchebag. Pro Palestinian and anti-Israel.

Just doing his part as a muslim to kill all the jews.

He is trying anyhow.

Obama is covering all his basis. Blaming Bush is getting a little old. Obama thinks blaming the oil company is a good campaign strategy to take the heat off his ass. Secondly, if Israel attacks Iran, he has that base covered too. In the end though, consumers will blame the campaigner-in-chief for high gas prices. His rejection of the Keystone pipeline only drives the nail into his coffin.

Why isn't he blaming Saudi Arabia and Iran? That is where most of our oil comes from!

Almost 1/2 of our oil comes from Canada....only a small part comes from the mideast.

Really??? I always thought it was from the middle east. ^5

Also the draw of the ME oil isn't nec the quantity but the quality. Less refinement required for many uses.

Not only with the Keystone pipeline but the Env. nuts in this country want Obummer to ban oil derived from oil sands. We are going to piss off the country that we import most of our oil from.

You're late. One of the first things Nancy P. did as the new speaker (2007) was pass a bill placing sand slope oil off limits to US consumption.

This was true. It was used to get the 'parts per million' of sulfur content in diesel fuel below government standards at that time. The 'PPM' requirements now are so low that the sulfur has to be removed in the refining process driving the price of diesel up.

Not only that but then the different formulations designated for Farm use, non farm commercial use , recreational use etc. i know it primarily just a color difference but still raises costs.
