At least two tornadoes appear to have touched down in areas south of Dallas on Tuesday, NBC News reported.
With the storms still moving through the area, many properties were damaged or destroyed and the Dallas Fort-Worth International Airport was also in the path of one storm, NBCDFW.com reported.
Live video showed a huge funnel cloud moving through a populated area as flashes of exploding power lines lit the sky. Vehicles were thrown across a major highway.

I haven't heard from my sister or niece. They're usually the first to jump on Facebook if something interesting happens.

I hope all our friends here from Texas are ok...
-
The video coming from the news station is incredible. We had hail yesterday, expected some bad weather today, nothing like what is going on now.
-
It's 81 degrees here. Partly cloudy, 65 % humidity, winds out of the South 18 mph. guess those tornadoes are headed to Oklahoma.
I'm a little over 2 hours south of D/FW

I'm in Shreveport. Right now we're having a severe thunderstorm, big thick lightning, ground shaking thunder, no wind. Pea size hail yesterday.
We're under a tornado watch until 10 tonight.
I was hoping that line would blow itself out but it looks like it's becoming better organized.
What I'm seeing in Dallas scares me.

Hey Chris, I don't have a photobucket. You should post the pic I just did on FB of the semi in the air. That is some wild crap. Spent most of the afternoon keeping peeps from exiting the building or taking the elevator. I think we reported at least 5 touchdowns now in DFW.
Now I am just counting down the time till I can get home and see how my dog and house fared.

Fingers crossed that all is well -- please chime in with a report when you can.

My hometown got a spanking this afternoon, but the wife says our house is unscathed. Hoping it stays that way as more storms are coming apparently.

I am about 30 miles North of Dallas. All we got was a lot of rain. At one point we were smack dab in the middle of both tornados. Scary stuff.

Here are the pictures that Mike220 and Traveshamockery posted to Facebook.

Brown pants.
If I saw that during rush hour, I would need new upholstery.

I'm glad I don't live around there. I don't have that many clean pairs of pants in my closet.

Crazy. Take cover, people! That stuff scares me.
I hope all of our TX members are okay.

Sumbitch. All is well at my house, my dog, roof, fence, and garden came out unscathed. Right before I heard the sirens I was telling a coworker I loathed spontaneity.

Glad to hear Tots. Saw a lot of chatter on FB & other places about the storms. My alma mater cancelled classes all afternoon.

Oh my God, those pictures were terrifying! Look at Tots going all  Badass. Have we heard from BEG?

CC, I heard the Mayor of Forney today, he said no fatalities. What a blessing!
My BFF just took her Mom home from that nursing home in Arlington on Monday. :o She stayed right on that same corner that was smushed.

That's close . . . but, I've got the feeling that I would have waited a bit longer before I GTFO . . .
