3. The Libby indictment was at 1PM EST on a Friday.
The entire Washington press corps is on court house watch today.
I might walk down there and join the stake out.

6. I made a very bold statement that it would happen last week or this. My feeling all along is that it would be today.
I think the paperwork would have had time to be done, and the jury to reach agreement on the number of counts with Pat.
Something is brewing. The networks don't amass outside a grand jury's door without some tip off that something big is happening.
I wish I knew whether they were working on it Wednesday and if Fitz was there. That would make me even more confident for today.

15. JIC - Have you actually heard/seen that they are amassing?
If yes, that is very hopeful.

18. From RawStory
I have every confidence they'll be there.
From RawStory....
Reporters at the major cable television networks plan to be on the ground Friday outside a federal district court where the jury considering the fate of President Bush's senior adviser Karl Rove.
No formal indication has been given of Rove's status, though lawyers close to the case have said his fate is likely to be determined soon. Special Counsel Patrick J. Fitzgerald, who is investigating the outing of CIA officer Valerie Plame, is scheduled to meet with the grand jury in the case Friday.
The major networks plan to have reporters live on the ground, a senior reporter said.

It may be a 2-fer this week since DeLay relinquished his seat in Congress yesterday, effective June something.

no it will happen but you won't have it recorded but there will be plenty of re-runs. I see that as a good sign.

19. Why would Bush be having a prime time event on Monday if something big weren't going to happen over the weekend? Yeah shit hits the fan on Friday, give them the weekend to think about it and I'll do some explainin' on Monday. Anyone agree?

If they send their crews they'll want some sort of video to make it worth having one...

of eden, we race down to the sea.
Standing there on freedom's shore.
Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun
Waiting for the sun.
Can you tell it now that spring has come,
And it's time to live in the scattered sun.
Waiting... waiting... waiting ... waiting
Waiting for you to -- come along
Waiting for you to -- hear my song
Waiting for you to -- come along
Waiting for you to -- tell me what went wrong.
This is the strangest life I've ever known.
Yeah."

I think I'll have a beer tomorrow in honor of "Fitzo de Mayo." I suggest all fellow members here do the same. Maybe we could designate a time, applicable across the various time zones, to do this? Coach, what do you think, sir?

*wipes tear*
Gawd, that was awesome.
In 2004 protestwarrior had a thread by some jag-off named Purple Stafish who began the day gloating and progressively (in every pun and sense of the word) melted down as election night wore on. I wish that one had been preserved.

You know, I remember that Friday all too well.
About three days before May 12, 2006, the Bostonian Drunkard announced Karl Rove was to be indicted on May 12.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, the Bostonian Drunkard's prematured the ejac--er, jumped the gun, many times before, but I recalled the comment about how even a broken clock is right two times a day.
And so, admittedly, I was concerned.
At 6:00 a.m. (central time; 5:00 a.m. mountain time), I arose and set up the computer, stacked a pile of packages of cigarettes within arm's-reach, brewed gallons of coffee, and started watching.
I was "refreshing" six major news sites (Drudge, &c.) every thirty seconds all day long.
If I recall correctly, the computer mouse had to be replaced (I always have spares) two times that day, from the depreciation, the wear-and-tear, of my constant "clicking" to "refresh."
I jumped up only to go use the Nance Greggs room occasionally for the standing-up business, and just as quickly dashed back in fear I might have missed something; I was glued to the computer.
Finally, about 6:00 p.m. (central time; 5:00 p.m. mountain time), I gave up.
The Bostonian Drunkard owes me a day of life I wasted because of him, but probably just as with books the Bostonian Drunkard borrows, I'll never get it back.
Damn.
