Oh my.

One wonders what it is, that the primitives don't jibber-jabber about.

I can't think of anything they won't, not a single thing.

breakthrough in understanding octopus language

Education researchers at Oregon Sea Grant's Free-Choice Learning Lab, housed at Oregon State University's Hatfield Marine Science Center (HMSC), have discovered a way to translate octopus gestures to human speech. This project was unveiled on April 1, 2012.

2. This is the first baby step toward communication with off planet species. Once we can understand some of our own fellow species we might be on the way to understanding those who don't share a planetary reference point.

The downside is learning how they feel about the way they've been treated for all these millennia.

Like how Chrome Dome, the sparkling old dude, tosses live clams into boiling water?

6. Yeah, that's what I thought....

An April Fool's joke.

I don't think the defrocked warped primitive's amused, though, having been taken in.

I volunteer Warpy and her fellow tribes"men" to lead the expedition to open communications with THIS octopus looking extraterrestrial...

If it's still there, and anyone is in the SD area, Yakitori II over on Sports Arena was one of the best Japanese places ever.

I haven't been there but I will check it out.  My current favorite is Chibas in Mission Valley, they make some fresh and awesome sushi.
