Let's face facts: if Zimmerman isn't swinging from a lamp post by May Day there could be riots. The last thing this country needs is for the last few businesses actually producing anything to endure the danger and uncertainty of civil unrest. We need to protect our wealth.
And what are we giving up, really? Sure his name is Zimmerman but he is a Hispanic. With 20 million illegals in this country it's not like we'll run out of those any time soon.
I would also point-out that Zimmerman is a registered Democrat: we can't run out of those fast enough! The crowd looking to lynch Zimmerman is the crowd Zimmerman has supported politically. So what if they eat their own?
If they want to say Zimmerman was a racist go ahead and let them. All that proves is Democrats are racists...again. Maybe Zimmerman can tip a pint with Robert Byrd in Hell before he has to go back to mowing the late senator's lawn.
I see no reason why we should spend our political capital defending Zimmerman. The restless antives are trying real hard to pin this on GOP to serve as a backdrop for Obama's abject failure. If whites are racist enough to gun down fresh-faced young black children then certainly they're racist enough to stymie America's smartest president ever just because he's not white like Dennis Kiucinich.
Let's not give them that talking point. Let's not exhaust ourselves trying to defend a man guarding a gated community when he ordinarily should be landscaping it.

While it would distract some from the consequences of his failed-to-nonexistent energy policies, rioting by one big 'Rat hip-pocket constituency against another that is less secure for them would severely degrade the 'Bringing us together' BS meme (And White guilt) on which Obamussolini's voter good will depends. Either way this doesn't work out so well for the Dems, either the Black race-pimps end up starting riots when Zimmerman gets off, or the Hispanics end up pissed off for Holder and Obama railroading a Hispanic who defended himself from assault-with-intent by a Black kid who looks less and less clean every day as more facts come out.

Some in the intelligence community said it would be national suicide for Japan to attack the US so the Japanese would never do it so there was no need to guard against it.
I would also think a president counting on the Hispanic vote would also refrain from attacking Catholic sensibilities in matters of gay marriage and mandated abortion coverage...

There was a failure on both sides to appreciate the frame of reference in which the other was operating, with too much reliance on intelligence product rather than what the content of it actually meant to the other side in their own frame of reference. It is a common human failing in conflict of all sorts.

It reminds me of what the Lamestream media did to that guy who was working security at the Atlanta Olympics. I know it isn't the same. Nobody ended up dead because of that guy but instead of reporting facts, each and every Lamestream reporter reported the story they wanted to be true, that the guy was a Munchhausen sufferer and planted the bomb himself so he could find it and be a hero.

I couldn't remember for sure so I looked it up; he did die, but of natural causes...after suing the crap out of Atlanta, the Feds, and CNN, most or all of whom settled out of court. I'm not positive, but I think the research scientist who became the target in the anthrax investigation may have killed himself, though...they were a lot less free with his real name, though I'm sure everyone who worked with him knew exactly whom the finger was pointing at which would have made him totally unemployable professionally.

Yes. The poor researcher did kill himself. The Feds had found some personal sexual obsession of his. Had nothing to do with the case. The first researcher got himself an attorney, fought, and got a settlement. The sad part is that after the second researcher killed himself, they eventually found out it wasn't the anthrax from his flask after all. Of course, they stopped looking after that. The Feds just needed a way to end the questioning of the public, and as long as the poor guy was dead, they could imply guilt.
I remembered that Jewell died, but I thought he did himself in too. Glad to hear he didn't. What they did to that poor guy was unforgivable.
