Could Zimmerman be nailed with the felony murder rule?

Essentially it means that if you're committing a felony, and during the course of this felony, somebody dies, you get charged with 1st degree murder, even if you didn't directly kill him.
For example, say you decided to stick up a 7-11. You don your pantyhose mask, walk in, draw your gun, and the elderly attendant, scared out of his wits, suddenly has a heart attack and keels over dead. Guess what. You're guilty of murder, because your actions, in the course of committing a felony robbery, resulted in that man's death, even though you didn't actually shoot him.
Of course, Zimmerman did actually shoot Trayvon. He's claiming it's because of mutual combat and he shot to defend himself. But how did it come up to that? Zimmerman engaged in stalking of Trayvon Martin, confronted him, threatened him, and committed assault and battery with a deadly weapon. If Zimmerman made any sort of violent threat against Trayvon at all, or laid a hand on him in anger, then it doesn't matter that Trayvon reacted by hitting him or fighting back. The scuffle escalated, and now Trayvon's dead.
Think Zimmerman could get pinched on the felony murder rule?

...poof! Zimmerman's story loses all police support, cops offer solid testimony against him, easy murder conviction.

Actually, the DUmmies would have been conflicted, because they hate him for the law and order for which he stands, but on the other hand, Raymond Burr was as queer as a three-dollar bill.

Don't you love how many lawyers the DUmp seems to have whenever something like this happens? I mean really why are they not out practicing attorneys earning some real cash? I guess that would require them to work but nothing is ever really free. At least some of us over here have had some idea of what the law says and not from the point of view of a felon.

These people don't want to see justice done. They just want Zimmerman thrown in jail or worse.All because the guy that was shot was black. The problem here is the real damage that is being done. It is going to be impossible for this thing to be investigated fairly. If Zimmerman winds up being arrested (I don't know what for) he will never get a fair trial. What we will see is another OJ Simpson Michael Jackson freak show where the justice system will be afraid to find Zimmerman not guilty just because of the threatened ramifications. (Thanks Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson). I am sure we are going to see riots and general disorder before this is all over. I might catch some flack here but the blacks in this country have become our Muslims. They get angry and riot over nothing before all the facts are in, hell they aren't interested in facts. They walk around pissed off all the time about every little perceived injustice. I am telling you there are some very angry people out there.
These wanna be mob members hate whitey, they blame everything in their lives on the white man (yet continue to vote Democrat), go figure. Many of these people are seriously disturbed and would not think twice about burning down a neighborhood or torching a few cars. We have no leadership in this country, hell the Obumbler threw gas on the fire and we have heard nothing from the justice department. I know it's a local matter but they could have shown support for the local LE in Florida. The moment the Chief of Police resigned it was over. He should have stood his ground and told the thugs that he was in charge and the issue would be investigated and if they didn't like it, it's too bad. It is going to be a long hot summer. :banghead:

Bondai, I agree. They are nothing but a modern day lynch mob. Stupid, poorly educated, and willing to follow anyone who is willing to draw blood on the object of their hatred. The problem is that is not so much Zimmerman that these people hate, it's whites in general. They would lose nothing if they suddenly donned hoods and eleted a black grand master dragon.

You won't catch any from me, I've been saying for many years that the lib blacks are our very own "Palestinians". Ignorant, easily led, plied with rage, kept uneducated and blind by their own. It's not unreasonable to conclude that they are not very far from strapping themselves with bombs and blowing up malls.
Why do you think islam is such an easy leap for the "oppressed"? It doesn't take any brains to hate and the "imams" are more than happy to hold them down while blaming someone else for it.

There are one or two real lawyers (Who have actually practiced law, instead of just having bombed out of law school or gotten the degree then moved back to the basement). They generally steer very, very wide of threads like that.
