<snip>
Former Vice President Dick Cheney is recovering after having a heart transplant, his office says.

HIs office released a statement Saturday disclosing the surgery, and saying that Cheney has been on the transplant list for more than 20 months.

Aide Kara Ahern says Cheney is recovering in the Intensive Care Unit of Inova Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, Va., after undergoing the surgery. She says the former vice president does not know the heart donor's identity.

Yep KKKarl Rove ran over some pizza delivery kid last night, then personally ripped out his heart and stuck it in Cheney. Nothing gets by you super sleuths, does it?  :whatever:

I would point out to the DUmpmonkeys that Vice President Cheney is about three years younger than President Reagan was when he started his second term.

If the Santorum/Gingrich people force a brokered convention, almost certainly that will assure the Kenyan's re-election, but who knows how quickly Cheney may recover.....

Plenty of time for Dick Cheney to recover and take the nomination.

First off, the speediest of recovery wishes for Dick, and my prayers with his family, as all of us ours is well.

That said...

I'd say that a convention that starts with no clear cut candidate for president is not a bad thing on our part. The KEY is that the candidate who comes out of the picture is well aware of what the rubublican constituents want, and for the most part, the aggregate republican constituency is more conservative/libertarian than any since Reagan, and probably even more so on the whole. The only ones throwing fits will be the libs who will be trying to use this situation to try to dispirit independents and fence sitters that the republicans are not in sync.

Remember, last time McCain pretty much waltzed through the primary with the press' blessing. The left knows that the more conservative a candidate we field on the ticket, the more likely we will win. Goldwater is half a century ago, and since then we've seen liberalism play out in its many tenets. The fact that Romney, who is the McCain of this year, is not getting the free pass is entirely indicative of the aggregate conservative constituency. A brokered convention will only ENTHUSE them even more.

Let's really pay tribute to Dick Cheney by staying as engaged in the primary process all the way through the convention. At that time, the nominee will be suitably vetted, and the Tea Party reenergized for a total wipeout of the Democratic Party all over the board.
