Oh my.
Per a policy, probably archaic, link only, but it's all good.
I disremember why one can't quote from freerepublic, but that was years and years ago, so probably it's okay. I do remember it wasn't because freerepublic had any problem with it.
-
Special thanks to Freeper dirtbiker for that post.

I don't recall such a rule.

We got your back, Big Steve. No need to thank us.

Is post #2 accurate? If so, that must have been an eyeopening experience. :lmao:

Yes, freeper will definitely help on the google ratings as well. After all, http://www.electstevedawes.com needs to be shouted from every rafter in the sky, whatever that means.

Yeah, best for one to see this at the original.
I now remember why the rule: it was when conservativecave was brand-new and struggling to grow. The site had a different owner back then, and many members (we had maybe 50) were posting from freerepublic.
The owner didn't like giving the impression conservativecave was a copycat of freerepublic; he wanted conservativecave to develop its own identity.
That's all it was.
Well, here we are, some years later and of course much larger. It's obvious conservativecave isn't a copycat of freerepublic.
So I suppose that archaic old rule doesn't hold any more.
-
Well, as the old saying goes, rules and bones are made to be broken. (With thanks to the NWO who at the time was led by Hulk Hogan,LOL).

Having read through the information on www.electstevedawes.com , I have only one regret.
Maybe I just missed it, but did not notice any mention of Socialist Steve's criticism of Tom Osborne (a notorious repuke wingnut) for dragging his feet in recruiting homosexuals for the Big Red football team.
Considering the low regard most Bellevue people have for Coach Osborne and Cornhusker football, this could be a winning issue for Socialist Steve.
With Nebraska entering the Big Ten, many fans of the only other team that matters would appreciate it if someone would correct this Osborne oversight.

Wait, was this really OS or was it somebody jacking the name?:

Well, here is a link to the bumper sticker especially made for his campaign. You are free to send this along to anyone you see pertinent to get across this great website, http://www.electstevedawes.com . The bumper sticker is best resized to 12" x 3"

I noticed on Socialist Steve's lame "official" site, he never even once mentions the word "democrat". Not even "democratic".
It's clear he doesn't want anyone to know of his lifelong devotion to socialism, or his strange attraction to high school girl athletes, but why is he ashamed to say "democrat"?

Who knows but what information there is is there at the link.

I don't remember such a rule. Then again, I'm just an employee, making bank from the actual owner. Carl Rove is a magnificent bastard.

Go look at the keywords.

A tip of the hat to FreeRepublic, for posting http://www.electstevedawes.com/
Thank you, gentlemen. :cheersmate:

Well, apparently the friends of Steve Dawes, at www.electstevedawes.com, had all sorts of his comments to pass on to the public, but out of courtesy to the big guy, refrained from mentioning the embarrassing ones.
Class. The friends of Steve Dawes have it.

Can I break the archaic rule?
To: dirtbiker
His ‘official’ website is seriously lacking information about what he stands for, positions, history, etc. Obviously you are doing him a favor as he is new to the process.
I am helping him by sending your page to a lot of folks who work in one of my Bellevue offices and asking them to share with their friends.
Let’s help good old Steve out.

Can I break the archaic rule?
I dunno why not; after all, years later, it's patently obvious we're not stealing material from freerepublic, being a copycat of them.
If I recall correctly, it was bijou who got some flack for this, bringing over articles from freerepublic, but that was now a very long time ago, and we all love bijou no matter what she does.

<shrugs>
Unless we are playing Hannidate, sex orientation isn't important if the member doesn't disclose it through obvious inference. The message and subject matter is far more important anyway. Let the DUmp figure out the proper sex orientation. I admit that I do feel empathy (not sorrow) for transgenders as their sexual orientation cannot be defined through normal male/female paradigms.
Finally, I don't need a "little boy or girl thingy" on my avatar. That's just not...right.

The nuanced, sensitive men of the democrat party always sit down to pee.
They're outraged at the sight of those discriminatory urinals, designed to disenfranchise over half of the ninety-nine percent.

As a little kid, on Saturdays I could walk to the movie theater in our little town, pay a quarter, and watch movies and cartoons all day.
I'd run home to use the bathroom, because the doors were marked "Gents" and "Dames".
I knew I wasn't a "dame", but I had no idea what a "gent" was.
