5 Words And Phrases Democrats Should Never Say Again
Last edited Thu Mar 22, 2012, 07:43 AM USA/ET - Edit history (1)

From a great Alternet post on using accurate language:

1. Never say Entitlements.

–Instead, say Earned Benefits.

2. Never say Redistribution of Wealth.

–Instead, say Fair Wages For Work.

3. Never say Employer Paid Health Insurance.

–Instead, say Employee Earned Health Insurance.

4. Never say Government Spending.

–Instead, say The People Are Investing.

5. Never say Corporate America.

–Instead, say Unelected Corporate Government.

Full article with great analysis here: http://www.alternet.org/newsandviews/article/863927/5_words_and_phrases_democrats_should_never_say

When you have to change the meaning of words or phrases you are on the losing side of the battle DUmbasses.

Be proud like socialist Steve Dawes and say what you believe.

Nice way of admitting you can only get elected by deception, DUmb****s.

So basically lie and hope the voters are too dumb to see through it.

Wow....

How can you earn something if you never worked for it?  Hmmmmmm

How can you get Fair Wages For Work if you don't work?

How can you Earn Health Insurance if you don't work?

How can you invest if you don't work?

Idiots...

So basically lie and hope the voters are too dumb to see through it.

In their case, their voters are too stupid to see through it.

BTW DUmbasses, what am I "investing" in by paying a crack whore to sit on her ass and download illegitimate babies all day?

And there are youtubes out there to prove it.

They say "ignorance is bliss". That being the case, their voters are some blissful mother****ers.

They need to amend
"I want to be from the government so I can be here to help you".

#3 is the only one where the new phrase even mildly connects to the facts, using any of the others sets off the reality distortion alarm.  Entitlements are earned, seriously?  If you are talking about veterans benefits or defined benefit retirement programs, perhaps, otherwise they are nothing but largesse.

Oh, that's a great idea.  Put the lifetime welfare "gimme a check, bitch" goons on par with retired/disabled veterans.  That's sure to work out for you real well.

 :lmao:

2. Never say Redistribution of Wealth.

Theft at gunpoint is still theft at gunpoint no matter how hard you try and make it sound pretty.  Besides, the decent and civilized of this country are more than aware of how their wallets are being raped by looking around them.  Your newspeak and doublethink will not change that.

3. Never say Employer Paid Health Insurance.

–Instead, say Employee Earned Health Insurance.

Once the employer stops paying for it, "employee earned" will no longer matter.

Quote
4. Never say Government Spending.

–Instead, say The People Are Investing.

Already been used by Gore/Lieberman in 2000.  It was floated and promptly shot down as bullshit.  People expect a return on their "investments", not watching it thrown down a hole.

5. Never say Corporate America.

–Instead, say Unelected Corporate Government.

"It's a beautiful thing, the destruction of words."

Sorry, DUmmies, but 2+2 still equals 4.  As long as conservatives exist, 2+2 will always equal 4.

I am simply amazed that with such critical thinking as that the losers at the DUmp are not in the 1%.

Yup. The "smartest of the smart" can't even be expected to take care of their own ****ing needs and need government making all the important decisions for them.

That's the one I confront all our local DemonRats with when they try and run for office around here. Amazing how that shuts them the hell up and end their press conferences!

The other one I use is, "Why should I vote for someone who represents a party that wants to remove my Second Amendment rights?".

It's amazing how they stutter and stumble over that one! They sure as hell can't deny it!

This is N. Idaho for cripes sake,(not to be mistaken with southern Idaho that does seem have enclaves of socialist, communist, bastards)!

You try and lay hands on our guns and you're liable to get shot

Over at Alternet, where the DUmmie stole his article, commenters also suggest

Quote
and never use the euphemism CONSERVATIVE...say MISERLY.

Quote
Democrats should never say or write "womb" in any political context when they can instead use the correct word "uterus"...

:mental:  I wish they'd stop talking about this stuff.  It's embarrassing sweet little me.   :-)

Quote
Never again say "Bush tax cuts", it was the "Bush tax postponement".

Quote
do not say trickle down economy, say piss down, or golden shower
::)

One guy got something right:

Quote
Sorry, but "The People are Investing" is just too smarmy.  It will offend, not convince.

Here's one from the DUmp:

Quote

14. ...I would add to stop referring to a woman's uterus as a "womb." One is simply a part of the body. The second is a word loaded with emotional content. In the same way that we call an zygote, embryo and fetus what they are, not what they may or may not become some day.
:bird:

And I also think that "Earned Benefits" in place of such things as welfare and food stamps will make people howl and jeer.   But, thanks to DUmmie ProgressiveATL for posting the heads-up for everybody to see.  Want to play Poker this weekend?

Are they so stupid they don't understand what they're admitting to? I know, they should call war "peace", freedom "slavery", and ignorance "strength". ****ing proles.  :whatever:

Was Orwell spot on about totalitarian people of the left or what?  Proving again that human nature is human nature.

These people will always be around and we will always have to fight them to maintain freedom and liberty.

Say, wasn't "entitlements" the replacement for "welfare?" It was the replacement for something, I remember clearly something changing in the language of the left in the early 1990s.

It was either welfare -> benefits (bennies) -> entitlements

Or something very close to that.

Well, "progressive" used to be "liberal", after it was "progressive". Prog-Libs don't deal in honesty. If they did, they'd never get elected.

BTW, kinda hungry. Think I'm about to pop a A Totinos cabbage dish in the oven. It has cheese and pepperoni, but since they're both food stuffs, I'm gonna call it cabbage. See? I'm eating healthy and damnit, don't you tell me I'm not. Like I said, it's cabbage.

In other news, some bitch-dyke that identifies herself as a male is suing a university because they won't allow her to shack up in the male dorm. These ****ing idiot Progs are trying to turn everything that is decent in society over on its ass. I loathe the liberal Hitler, but if "I" had a master plan, guess who would be on it?

Life in the animal kingdom isn't very fair. No safety net. Why do libs think somehow some ethereal fairness entity will overlook the animal kingdom, and spread fairness all across the land with a wave of the hand of an inaction figure ? I don't know if it would be the kung fu grip on your wallet right hand, or the sleight of hand left hand that would magically wave fairness to all corners of the globe.

BattleHymn, that was sheer perfection. I love the beautifully sublime inference to the religion of peace.
